Charlotte was enthusiastic and generous in sharing her knowledge. The tour was captivating and very informative, with a good balance between the broader history and engaging details and anecdotes.
This was a brilliant tour from start to finish. Outside of the normal, bland experiences, this tour offered a quirky and irrreverent look through history by cleverly using the portraits at the Gallery as an inspiartion to tell stories as they truly are, rather than as establishment historians might wish you to hear them. Charlotte's breadth of knowledge was first class, and we were especialy grateful to her for adding a tour date option that worked for our schedule. Our 16 year old son, in the first year of 'A' levels including History, declared that 'this was the best walking tour he had ever been on!' - High praise indeed - and he was spot on!
