In the center of the city there is a famous old street called “Spaccanapoli”, a long and narrow street that divides the old Naples in two perfect halfs. It consists of many shops, restaurants and typical alleys.

Further down the "Spaccanapoli" street we will see San Domenico Maggiore square, with its Church, where a perfect overlapping of different architectural styles will certainly amaze you.
During the tour customers will be impressed by the absolute pearl of Naples, famous Chapel San Severo featuring the statue “Cristo Velato” by Giuseppe Sanmartino. This marble statue is a masterpiece of the 18th century representing dead Christ covered by a veil. Legend has it that an alchemist taught the sculptor how to convert real veil into a marble veil.
It was the main decumanus or Decumanus Maggiore of the ancient Greek and then Roman city of Neapolis.

The baroque cathedral of Saint Gennaro dating back to the 13th century is at the heart of the Neapolitan faith. Here the blood of the saint patron St. Gennaro is preserved. It becomes liquid during the so-called “Miracle of St. Gennaro”. This explains why all citizens show deep devotion towards this church.

During a trip to Naples for a few days, we booked with Askis Tours a visit to the Veiled Christ at the private Chapel of San Severo. Beyond the wonder we were able to enjoy, I want to thank the guide Joice, who made a difference. Professionalism, courtesy, and love for art and for his work. We could not have asked for better, and I could not refrain from writing this review. I recommend everyone to ask for her and to visit the Veiled Christ and the other incredible sculptures inside the Chapel. Rossella
We found a knowledgeable and engaging guide. Strolling through Naples while listening to stories and descriptions was a very pleasant and educational experience.
This was a wonderful tour, very well paced with enough time to see everything - and, the guide was exceptional! She was able to provide so much history, knowledge, interesting stories, etc. in a very engaging way. What I most appreciated is that she made a point of speaking to and asking thoughtful questions of each member of the group. The questions were great - they were more about what we thought or would like to know more about - and, it also made us bond more as a group. She also didn't rush the group if we collectively wanted to stay a bit longer at a particular stop. Excellent experience and would not hesitate to book again!
A very nice experience, I recommend it
Our guide Carlo proved to be particularly helpful and knowledgeable, and he gifted us three hours of passionate visiting with his beautiful descriptions and anecdotes. We could not have hoped for better. Thank you
Thanks to Francesco, who not only helped us fully appreciate the places and works of art but also the historical and cultural context.
Carlo is a very knowledgeable guide and described Naples and its many curiosities to us with love. He made us feel emotions and experience many aspects that we would not have been able to grasp without a guide.
Carlo was a special and impeccable guide, particularly knowledgeable, and he instilled a love for art and curiosity in us. Capable of engaging the group, he provided explanations of the works from literary, artistic, philosophical, and scientific perspectives. All of this was skillfully interspersed with information related to the traditions and folklore of Naples. Raffaella.
We participated in the variant of this tour that also included a visit to the Cloister of Santa Chiara (stunning!). Our guide, Carlo, was truly thorough and professional. We began with a visit to the majolica-clad Cloister of Santa Chiara, then continued with a walk through the historic center, where Carlo revealed the folklore and traditions that make Naples a unique city, concluding with a visit to the Sansevero Chapel, home to the Veiled Christ. Everything you see deserves 5 stars on its own, but with Carlo's stories and explanations, this experience was truly interesting and extremely positive.
Beautiful experience! I say this as a bell. Luca, our exceptional guide! Very friendly and truly knowledgeable and professional. Excellent timing. Highly recommended.
