- DELAYS OR DEVERTED ARRIVALS (TRAIN OR FLIGHT): in this case, vendor is not responsible and the service will be considered as NO SHOW and NO REFUND WILL DO.
- Delays or diverted arrivals: In case of flight or train delays, or if your arrival is diverted to a different airport or station, the customer must inform Discover Italy as soon as possible in order to check the possibility to wait or reschedule the service without extra costs. If Discover Italy is not available to wait or reschedule due to operational reasons and/or no timely communication is received, the service may be considered a no-show, and no refund will be due.
- General information: According to Italian law, it is strictly forbidden to place luggage inside the passenger compartment. In case of extra or oversized baggage that does not fit in the trunk, the driver may refuse the service for safety reasons and no refund will be due. Any additional costs incurred due to extra baggage (for example upgrading to a larger vehicle, arranging a second vehicle or storage) will be borne by the passengers and must be paid on the spot. In the event of malfunction, technical failure or damage, the assigned vehicle may be replaced with another of the same or higher category/quality level.
- Important – Transfer options and routes: Many of our transfer services offer different route options to let you book the solution that best matches your travel needs. - Contact details and meet & greet: To ensure smooth meet & greet operations, we strongly recommend that at least one passenger provides a mobile phone number that is active and reachable in Italy (ideally the same number entered at the time of booking). We also highly recommend downloading and using the WhatsApp messaging app, which allows our ground staff and drivers to contact you quickly in case of any changes, delays or difficulties in locating each other. Discover Italy cannot be held responsible if passengers are unable to meet our staff or driver at the agreed meeting point due to being unreachable or not answering calls/messages.
- Frequently Asked Questions (Transfer FAQ standard) – Is this a round-trip transfer? No. Each booking is for a one-way transfer only on the date you select. – If it’s a one-way transfer, why am I asked to provide both arrival and departure details? Our system is used for different types of transfers (arrivals and departures), and we are not able to predict which option you will choose. For this reason, the form may ask for more details than strictly necessary. Feel free to provide only the information that is relevant for your transfer (for example, your arrival flight or train number). Where a field is not applicable, you can simply enter “N/A”. – If I need a round-trip transfer, what should I do? You can easily book a round-trip by making two separate bookings, one for each travel date (outbound and return). – What time will I be picked up from my hotel? The time you select during the booking process will be considered as your requested pick-up time. If you are not sure which time to choose (for example in relation to your flight or train departure), you can contact us before booking and we will be happy to assist you in choosing the most suitable pick-up time. – I selected a pick-up time later than my flight/train arrival time. Is that OK? No. Our ground staff monitors your scheduled arrival time in real time and your driver will meet you based on the original arrival time of your flight or train. Remember that you already have complimentary waiting time included in the price: up to 60 minutes for airport arrivals up to 15 minutes for train station and port arrivals This is usually more than enough in Italy for passport control and luggage collection, so please always select the time slot closest to your actual scheduled arrival time, not later.

This tour is a great way to see the highlights of the island of Capri in a day. It included the Blue Grotto, Mt. Solare, Anacapri city center, Capri, and the Gardens of Augustus. Vincenzo was great, going above and beyond in helping enjoy island. The taxi ride was a must too!
I let them know 4 hours before that our flight was about 30 minutes delayed. When we arrived at the airport the driver was not there. I had to contact them and after writing for 10 minutes they said they would be there in 30 minutes. No communication from them they would not be there.
Dear Guest, We are disappointed to read your review, as it does not reflect the real course of events. As shown in our Viator chat, your flight was delayed by more than 45 minutes — not 30. Even though our policy clearly states that delays or cancellations are beyond our responsibility, we still ensured that a driver would meet you upon arrival, free of any additional charge. Due to several delayed flights, the airport parking area was congested, and your driver was only a few minutes late reaching the arrivals hall. You were informed of this and advised to wait approximately 10 minutes, but you decided to leave before the driver arrived. In any other country, under similar circumstances, the service would have been considered completed and no refund would have been granted, as the delay originated from the customer’s flight, not from the driver. Nevertheless, we still decided to issue a refund as a gesture of goodwill. We will certainly learn from this experience and be more cautious in the future before granting refunds so hastily, especially when our team has acted professionally and respectfully at all times.

Excellent! We originally booked a transfer from airport to a ferry. Both the driver and the agent contacted us directly through WhatsApp and provided meetings points and pictures. Our ferry got cancelled! The driver was very accommodating and was able to take us directly to our final destination (for an extra charge). It was a great experience. Highly recommended!
Good communication and they got us right in front of hotel in sorrento no complaints here! Also the car was air conditioned which is a must in the summer
Viator are always reliable for transfers. The driver was very polite and the van was clean and had airconditioning. However, one issue. We booked this transfer to the airport especially for safety as we had to be picked up early at 3.30am. The driver wouldn’t come to our accomodation as she said the streets were too narrow and she wasn’t allowed in our street. We provided the address at the time of the booking. We would have liked to have known then as we may have been able to find an alternative. Lucky we were two couples , I wouldn’t like to have walked that street ( even if it was only 150 metres) as a single woman. The van could easily fit in our street ( esp at 3.30 am with very little traffic) and she drove out via streets that were the same. I know thee are ZTL’s but surely taxi/ hire car pick ups are exempt.

Your apartment was located on a very narrow side street, not on the main road. So, the fact that it was in a ZTL zone (which you mentioned) doesn’t really apply here. That same street was a one-way, leading to ongoing construction work that would have prevented us from reaching your location directly, forcing us to take a different route to get to the airport. Because of these circumstances, the driver—who, as you can see from your booking, was driving a Mercedes minivan, not just a regular taxi—contacted you the day before. He provided a meeting point just 150 meters from your accommodation to ensure everyone’s safety and to guarantee you arrived on time. Your response was, “I paid to be picked up at my address and I expect it to be so!” This kind of reply comes across as rude and arrogant, especially considering that our reasons for the alternative meeting point were valid and aimed at ensuring a smooth service, not just a matter of convenience. We kindly ask you to verify the information we provide before leaving reviews that are not really helpful. The vast majority of our reviews are positive, which we’re very proud of. When issues do arise, we always try to resolve them by communicating openly with our clients and explaining any difficulties encountered along the way. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s hard to reason with arrogance, and I’m sorry about that. On a positive note, you did notice that the car was clean, air-conditioned, and that the driver was punctual.
