Nami Island, located 63 km away from Seoul, is half moon shaped isle, and on it is the grave of General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo. You can reach the island by a ferry or zip wire.
It opened on May 11, 1996 as a private garden. The founder and the employees have strived to embrace the natural beauty of Korea, oriental mystique, and the spirit of the Korean people in the garden. The design of the garden focused on curves, spaces and asymmetric balance, and Korea's unique beauty to express classic elegance and fatuousness. This place is popular to tourists its own natural beauty and light festival during winter as well as other seasons.

We booked this full-day tour through TripAdvisor and Andrew made it absolutely unforgettable. He was kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about every location we visited. A highlight was getting to see alpacas up close, and he also introduced us to a restaurant that ended up being the best meal we've had during our entire trip. At Nami Island, his suggestions for what to prioritize were spot-on and really helped us make the most of our time there. We wrapped up the day with a peaceful walk through the Garden of Morning Glory, which was the perfect calm ending to such a full day. Andrew's warmth and local insight made all the difference.

What a great day! The tour guide was early for pickup and was able to keep us on time throughout the day. He explained history of South Korea in every place we went and was passionate about sharing his culture. The alpaca world was amazing being able to feed the alpacas. The stops were beautiful and scenic. Not quite cherry blossom season yet but still was amazing. The garden was a nice last touch with so much history. The vehicle was comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend this tour for an action packed day of exploring South Korea outside of Seoul!
