With this private tour you will have the chance to visit one of the most beautiful Greek towns avoiding the crowds of big buses.Visit the charming seaside port of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece, with its soaring castle walls and its beautiful waterfront.This low-key harbor town was in fact the first capital of the country. Its rich past and a great position on a wide bay has made it an important port for much of its history. You can see this in the medieval walls high on Palamidi Hill above the town and in the amazing fort that sits right in the middle of the harbor, but you can also see it in the 19th-century buildings scattered around the town.

After 1 hour of driving we will make a stop at corinth canal which connects the Aegean with the Adriatic sea and was built in 19th century.You will have the chance to take some stunning pictures and admire the view of this marvel of engineering.

Take a stop at Syntagma ( Constitution) square and admire the 18th and 19th century buildings.Walk in the boulevard of Nafplio port overlooking the Bourtzi fortress which was build to guard the port.

This tour was a highlight of our trip to Greece! Everything was smooth and well-organized from start to finish. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and the drive was scenic and relaxing. Nafplio was absolutely stunning—full of charm, history, and incredible views. We loved exploring the fortress, walking the picturesque streets, and enjoying some local bites by the sea. Our driver was a great guy, on time and pleasant. Sadly, we were disappointed as there was no information, historical background or bit of helpful information shared. His role was evidently that of a driver and no more. It would have been cheaper to hire a taxi.

This is a great trip to do from Athens if you want to get away to somewhere completely different, but only have part of a day. Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed every part. Palamidi Castle has amazing views. Corinth Canal is neat, but you only need to spend a few minutes there. Nafplio is nice and has amazing food. The timing is just right for everything. Our driver was nice and very knowledgeable about everything on the tour and a few other places we passed. I would highly recommend the tour.
