Do Eat Better Experience Munich Food Tour is a walking tour around the old town. You will be guided by a Local Expert who's able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and any other relevant curiosities. Our tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Bavarian culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. Have a full meal in at least 4 stops: you will get the chance to try some of the most iconic Bavarian dishes, such as white sausages, Leberkäs-semmel, Krapfen, meat-based main dishes, and of course, German beer!

Join us for this 3-hour long food tour across the heart of Bavaria, where German local cuisine is rich and heartwarming. You will discover Munich and its gastronomy with the help of our Local Expert and enjoy an itinerant full meal in at least 4 stops. All the food and drinks here described are included! Please, bear in mind that the tastings here described may change according to the season and the availabilities of our partners.
Leaving from our Meeting point, we'll pass by Frauenplatz and Marienplatz - probably the most iconic squares in Munich - to head towards the Viktualienmarkt. Originally conceived as a farmers' and herbal market, this is the place to be if you want to dive in Munich food scene and try both local and exotic dishes. Here we'll taste the local Bavarian Breakfast (only at lunch), learn about it and enjoy a glass of apple juice next to it! Alternatively, in the evening, you will have a taste of Bavarian Leberkäs-semmel, a delicious meet sandwich that's a staple of Bavarian street food culture
Marienplatz is probably the most famous square in town, where you can admire some stunning architecture, such as the New and the Old Time Hall or the Glockenspiel, the famous mechanical clock. Nearby, we'll enter one of the most iconic venues in Munich, a classic German Tavern that has always been a place to spend some time with firends or meet new ones! Here, you'll relish on a local main dish and have some more beer if wanted!
After a nice stroll in the heart of Munich Old Town, we'll visit in a historical spot to taste a sweet only known by locals: the Schmalznudel, a delicious fried pastry that's so soft it will melt in your mouth. But don't worry if you prefer something else: other desserts are offered, such as the famous krapfen!
Bavarian drink scene is rich and full of different options to try! At lunch, we'll end the tour on a sweet note with a glass of Honigwein, honey-flavoured wine. Alternatively, in the evening you will end with a nice digestive, a local schnapps will help you digest the food and we'll say goodbye to each other screaming "Prost"

Renate was an excellent guide. We learned so much about the food, culture, history, buildings, and of course, the BEER! I don't think anyone of us on the tour could finish all of the food provided. I felt bad wasting it! Renate was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I would highly recommend this for anyone - and arrive HUNGRY!!

Our tour guide, Renate, was very knowledgeable, especially about beer. If you want to learn everything there is to know about beer in Munich, she knows it and she is your preferred guide. She also spoke about local food and markets. Finally, the food stops were good too. Very much enjoyed our tour.

very very important come hungry! Do not eat before this Tours. This is not a tasting tour. This is Eating tour and you probably won’t be able to finish the very last part. Best Tour Guide ever. Juliett was the best. . She was very Informative gave us lots of advice. She definitely went over and above very funny and easy to get along with. She did an expert guide giving us history around the beer gardens and what they are about if you would like beer you like you like sausage you like meatballs and you like bread and you like everything is delicious worth the money better than a night out for dinner for sure
Julia was a great tour guide! She gave us a really good experience trying traditional Bavarian breakfast foods, lunch, drinks, and a delicious dessert stop. The tour was small and comfortable and no one left hungry! We also got a lot of city history along the way. Overall, a great food tour!

Julia did an amazing job of introducing us to some new German foods as well as showing us the sites and sharing history of Munich. Great way to spend time in a beautiful city! Be prepared for a lot of walking!!!
