At this stop near Piazza della Scala, one of Milan’s most iconic squares, we will taste a delicious, crispy Italian street food called panzerotto, typically filled with melted cheese and tomato. Surrounded by historic landmarks, including the world-famous Teatro alla Scala, the square is a hub of Milanese culture and elegance. I had a wonderful evening with good food, good drinks and good company. Our guide Alarico was very knowledgeable and patient with each of the group members. Despite the group size being 12, he was able to support each one of us and interacted with each of us. He was very attentive with our needs and questions.
Our tour guide, Francesco, was excellent. We ate great food & learned interesting facts. We highly recommend Francesco & this tour!
What a great introduction to Italian cusine and culture! Our tour guide, Alessia, was wonderful - friendly and engaging, fun and informative! We couldn't have had a better time. She started our tour with an introduction to italian pizza at Rom Antica. The restaurant offers more than 25 different pizzas to sample - and we found the potato topped pizza quite scrumptious. Also, the Nutella desert pizza was most unusual - and quite delicious. We then enjoyed a fine plate of Rissotto Milanese at a local restaurant. This was followed by a fantastic charcuterie smorgasbord at La Prosciutteria. And our final stop was a sweet treat of gelato at Vera's gelateria. Time flew by as we sojourned from one restaurant to the next. Alessia was great company - and made the tour a most memorable experience. I highly recommend this city tour and you should ask for Alessia as your guide!
Anna lead us through the streets in Navigli where we had lots of fun ! We had delicious Aperitivo snacks , 2 glasses of wine, a cocktail , risotto Milanese and a gelato. Anna is enthusiastic and friendly and a great tour leader. There was one disappointing element to the tour though - my partner is vegetarian and when we sat down for the main meal of risotto Milanese , she was given a plate of just plain risotto (understandably without the delicious meat we all received). Surely hers could have been served with mushrooms or asparagus. It was boring - and for the price of the tour - unsatisfactory.
We booked this street food tour through our travel agent and ended up with Gian as our guide. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Gian was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the food but about Italy in general. He answered every question our group had and took the time to explain things in depth without ever making it feel like a lecture. What stood out most was how personable he was. It felt less like a guided tour and more like spending an afternoon with a friend who was showing us around Milan. My wife and I had just landed in Italy, were exhausted from traveling, and were a little overwhelmed being in a new country. Gian made us feel comfortable right away and helped us settle into the experience. The food itself was great as well. What we really enjoyed was that it wasn't just about eating at different stops. Gian explained the history behind the dishes, how the region's food evolved over time, and why certain foods are made the way they are. We thought that added a lot to the experience and made it much more interesting than a typical food tour. Overall, a great experience and one we'd happily recommend. Bravo, Gian!

Alarico was our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we had some great food.
Alarico gave us a wonderful tour. He explained the history of the things we were eating and everything was delicious. Alarico is from Milan and his love of the city and what he was showing us was very evident.
