Experience Milan like a local on our Secret Food Tour. Start your journey with a true Lombard classic: creamy risotto with taleggio & pear, prepared with traditional techniques. Explore the trendy and lively Navigli neighbourhood while tasting arancina, one of Italy’s most iconic street foods. As we pass some of Milan’s oldest churches, we’ll stop for a local pride: unique Milanese-style pizza, a fluffy and delicious city staple. Save room for a traditional Pasticciotto, a golden, flaky pastry filled with rich custard, paired with an authentic Italian coffee and its signature "cremina." We’ll end on a high note with artisanal gelato, crafted with exceptional care and natural ingredients. As with all our tours, there’s also our delicious Secret Dish, served with a special seasonal side!

Porta Genova is a railway station in Milan, Italy, located on the Passante Ferroviario di Milano suburban railway line. It was opened in 2004 and provides connections to other parts of Milan and the surrounding regions. The station is named after the nearby Porta Genova, one of the ancient gates of the city walls of Milan.
Darsena is a district in Milan, Italy, located in the Navigli area. It is known for its lively nightlife, trendy bars, and restaurants. The district takes its name from the Naviglio Grande canal, which used to serve as a commercial port and is now a popular spot for strolling and boating. The Darsena area has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years, becoming one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Milan.
The Naviglio is a canal system in Milan, Italy, comprised of the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese. The canals were originally built in the 12th century to connect Milan with other cities and to facilitate commerce. Today, the Naviglio is a popular tourist attraction, known for its picturesque waterways, historic bridges, and vibrant nightlife in the Darsena district. The Naviglio Grande is lined with cafes, restaurants, and bars, and is a popular place for boat rides and walks. The Naviglio Pavese, on the other hand, is a quieter and more rural canal that runs through the countryside.
A "Porta Ticinese" was already part of the medieval walls of Milan (12th century); the medieval gate is one of the few remnants of the medieval walls that are still in place, and it is located in the same area as the modern "Porta Ticinese", but closer to the city centre (as the medieval walls enclosed a smaller area than the Spanish walls). The current location of the gate (in a plaza that is now called "Piazzale XIV Maggio") was established during the Spanish rule, in the 16th century.

One word… WOW! What a great adventure! They say the guide matters - TRUE. They say the people who are part of the tour matter - TRUE! This was the perfect combo. ELENA is truly a lover of her city and you can feel it in every story she shares. She loves Milan, she loves food, and she loves people. We were a small group (3 ladies who were all solo travelers) and we had a BLAST! Not only did we try fantastic food, we went to local places that truly celebrated Milanese food and culture. EVERYTHING was perfect - the places, the food, the timing, the history. The secret treat was Steak Tartare and it was FANTASTIC! What a lovely surprise! Davide was a great guide! Very cheerful and full of interesting stories about Milan generally and Navigli specifically. We had an unusual, delicious risotto with pears. Our 2nd stop was for beef tartar and a cheese with honey for the vegetarian in our group also a savory eggplant dish that was my personal favorite of the night. The pizza and arrincini we tried were delicious with pistachios added. Of course the final stop gelato was amazing in a city of plenty of delicious gelato. Thanks to Davide we had excellent conversations all the way to go with the excellent food
