Milan Aperitivo Street Food Tour

Description
Milan is considered Italy’s most global city. Rooted in its tradition yet constantly glimpsing at the future. Recently Milan became the capital of Italian food, thanks to the great number of VIP chefs and the convergence of different culinary tradition coming from all over the world. However, Milan is also passionate about its history and traditions: Milan aperitivo is for sure one of the most loved ones. It is in the Duomo’s shadows that the Milan aperitivo was born. Milaneses, after work, relax in a bar and enjoy a drink, eating salami alongside.

This tour took place in an area a bit far from where we were staying in the central city, so it gave us the opportunity to see another part of Milan. Specifically the lively canal area. Very different from the rest of Milan, had a more funky vibe with tons of restaurants and bars, and nightlife and colorful graffiti. Everywhere. Started off down the canal through sidestreets to a innovative bar that provided itself on interesting combinations. And interesting they were. And onto a more traditional wine bar with prosciutto and cheese appetizers. Kept walking through the neighborhood to a restaurant for our entrée, which featured baked potatoes with a huge choice of fillings. Very creative. Then onto a street food location that featured fried rice balls with a variety of fillings. And excellent gelato for dessert. All the while being told about the area by our very learned tour guide.
