Experience the culture, flavors, and river life of the Mekong Delta day tour from Ho Chi Minh City. Travel by air-conditioned vehicle toward My Tho with an English-speaking guide, then visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of the region’s most well-known cultural landmarks. Continue to the pier and board a motorboat to cruise along the Tien River, passing small islands, fishing rafts, floating houses, and riverside village life. Explore local village roads and orchards, taste seasonal tropical fruits, enjoy honey tea, and listen to traditional folk music performed by local residents. Continue with a hand-rowed sampan ride through a narrow canal shaded by water coconut trees, one of the most memorable moments of the day. Visit a coconut candy workshop to see how this local specialty is made, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

Around 7:40am, get picked up from your central hotels or meet at a designated meeting point then head to the Mekong Delta. Pass by green rice fields before arriving at the beautiful rural My Tho - the heart of the Mekong Delta region. The first stop is Vinh Trang Pagoda. Explore and admire the unique architecture of this historic site, which features a blend of Vietnamese, Khmer, and Chinese influences.
Continue your trip to My Tho and take a boat cruise along the Mekong River where you can escape the busy town. We will pass by the Tortoise islet and the Dragon, Phoenix, and arrive at Unicorn Islet. This journey takes you through tranquil fruit orchards, and rustic villages where you can observe the daily lives of locals. Enjoy a sampan ride through the coconut trees-lined canals.
Disembark and explore the village on foot. Visit local families where you can enjoy fruits, honey tea and wine while listening to traditional music performed by the villagers. After that, enjoy a local lunch (vegan food available) Continue your trip to cruise to Ben Tre province - the land of coconuts where you can tour a coconut farm and witness the process of making coconut candy, rice paper, and other coconut-based products. After that, you will have time to relax on a hammock or bike around the village. As the sun sets, travel back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive approximately at 5:00pm.
