This trip offered an opportunity to get out of the HCM city and see some beautiful countryside and a contrasting, more relaxed way of life. I appreciated being picked up from the hotel, which is outside usual pick up area at 7am and indeed this contributed to my selection of this trip over other possibilities. Although it is a longer drive than some day trips, it was totally worth it. The driver drove very safely, and my guide Xiem, spent the first part of journey carefully and entertainingly explaining the history and geography of country which was fascinating, particularly as this was my first visit to Vietnam. The 2 boat trips were wonderful and relaxing, and cycling/walking provided a way of slowly taking the time to absorb the atmosphere of the places too. A really lovely day at the end of a busy work trip and convinced me to return for a holiday in near future. Thank you so much. Best wishes, Mary
We had a fantastic day with our guide, Xem, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Vietnam’s history and the Mekong region, which really brought the places we visited to life. We especially appreciated the stories he shared throughout the day—they added a personal and memorable touch to the tour. He also mentioned, with a smile, that he “doesn’t like his job but loves it,” and that perfectly sums up his passion. You can absolutely tell he genuinely cares about what he does. Thank you for such an enjoyable and insightful day—we’d highly recommend this tour and Xem to anyone visiting the area.
A great tour which showcases the life and people of the Mekong Delta. Very well organised and an excellent guide in Ms. Jen who was very informative on life and culture of the region.
We had an amazing Mekong Delta tour with Tony (aka Tue) as our day guide. He was absolutely outstanding – extremely engaged, passionate, and clearly put a lot of effort into showing us everything and explaining the culture, history, and daily life along the way. His English was very good and easy to understand, and you could really feel that he truly loves his job and guiding people. This made the whole experience much more personal and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend Tony aka Tue to anyone visiting the Mekong Delta.
We had the a wonderful experience touring the Mekong Delta, all thanks to our fantastic guide Jen ! She organized the day perfectly, taking us to very interesting and beautiful places that we would never have found on our own. From start to finish, she was friendly, kind, and professional. She provided us with useful information not just about the Delta, but also great advice for the rest of our stay in Vietnam, which made our trip even better. We highly recommend her services to anyone visiting the area; she truly made our experience memorable and special! Thank you Jen !
If I could give 6/5 I would!! An excellent day out exploring the Mekong Delta. Our tour guide Dao made it so much more enjoyable as well. She is really knowledgeable and makes sure everything runs super smoothly. Couldn’t recommend enough!
We were picked up at 730 by Two (sorry about spelling, he just said like the number 2!) and whisked away to the river in well under 2 hours...we were lucky with the traffic. A quick look at the brick factory then onto a motor boat along the river, stopping at a coconut farm for demonstrations and tried milk and chocolate and tropical fruit. Walked to mat weaving for a demo, bought a lovely folding hat made from the same material. Then tuk tuk to river and lovely peaceful row boat to a great place for lunch..which was fab! Then back to car and home. There was no cycling involved or mentioned but we werent too upset as it was HOT!! Back to hotel by 3pm. Worth the money as its quite a long way from HCM and no hanging about for others!!
This was a very efficient way to explore some of the highlights of the Mekong Delta. The boat trip was fantastic just wish it had lasted longer. The coconut candy was a delightful treat. Our guide, Anna, was fun, charming, and spoke excellent English. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, even assisting us with planning the next stage of our journey as we wanted to explore the delta further.
The beautiful Mekong Delta, fascinating places, and delicious food and sweets made it unforgettable. Many thanks to our guide, Ana so helpful, full of information, and with a great sense of humor. Thank you, Ana! Thank you, Vietnam!
Our guide, Mai, made the tour even more enjoyable! She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. Her positive attitude made the trip unforgettable. Highly recommended!
