The start to this tour...

The start to this tour was rough, took almost two hours to finally connect with the bus. Which actually would have been OK as I understand things happen, but the lack of proactive communication is what made us angry. We were the ones who had to keep following up and it just seemed to never be important to communicate with us. Once we finally got on the bus, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of good info about Mayan culture, but he most definitely needs to have a microphone or some type of amplification when speaking. He was literally yelling but we could still not hear him clearly whatsoever. We were in the back of the 22-seat bus (not a big bus) and it was still impossible to hear, it was both frustrating and irritating. The Tulum Ruins were great, but I think we could have used a little more time there. However, it was a very hot day so…. The Coba Ruins were interesting as well, and it was much cooler in the jungle. Upon arrival at the Cenote Kuxtai we received a group blessing from the local Shaman, a different and fun experience. Lunch was good, plenty of options. Staff was friendly. Water in the Cenote was not overly cold so it was a really nice swim. This place seemed more authentic than the one we had gone to the day prior. It was a long day, but overall the experience was fun, just wish it had a better start which is why I only gave it 4-stars, but we would definitely recommend.
