We had a fantastic time on this 3-hour shopping tour in Marrakech! Our guide, Yasmine, was absolutely wonderful — blending history, culture, and geography seamlessly into our experience. It wasn’t just about shopping; it was about understanding the deep roots and traditions behind every item we saw. Our first stop was a fascinating workshop for wood crafting and mosaics, where we watched artisans at work. Next, we visited an antique shop where one of our group found a beautiful, framed mirror with closing doors — a real treasure. We then headed to a carpet cooperative, where we learned the differences between Berber and Arab weaving styles and traditions, which was truly eye-opening. A highlight was our visit to an herbalist, where we discovered the uses of local teas, spices, and cosmetics — naturally, we couldn’t leave empty-handed! The tour was capped off with a lovely lunch and a delightful carriage ride through the city, going a bit over time, but none of us minded a bit.
