Description

After meeting you in Marrakech, we'll head southeast to the majesty of the High Atlas Mountains.  We will stop to take a photo of the oldest Berber village in the Tahanout region, then visit the Berber women's cooperative.   The third stop will take part in Asni to photograph it and the summit of the oukaimden before reaching Imlil.   Once arrived at the village of Imlil, we will start our walk through the Berber villages and learn about their culture and the Berber way of life.   We will also visit a waterfall in the middle of nowhere.  The hike will be gentle and the view is breathtaking, amazing and beautiful.   Lunch will be prepared by our family in a traditional house.   Then we will head to the kik plateau, where we will enjoy a cup of tea while enjoying the view of this incredible plateau desert, agafay and the takarkoust dam, looking at everything at once   The last activity we will do is to ride a camel before taking our car to drive to Marrakech.  Around 5:00 p.m.

The Agafay Desert, Atlas Mountains and Waterfall excursion - a review !

This was an outstanding trip which ranks among the best we have been on. Micham and Mustapha made us very welcome and went above and beyond to make this trip truly exceptional with their local knowledge and insight. This tour has set us up well to enjoy the remainder of our holiday with a greater level of knowledge and understanding of The Agafay Desert, The Atlas Mountains, The Berber Villages and Morocco as a whole. We would have no reservation in thoroughly recommending this tour and Hicham and Mustapha to any visitors or holiday makers from anywhere in the world.

Fabulous atlas mountain and desert trip

Absolutely fabulous day out, our tour guide Imaill was superb and very knowledgeable, his English was great and always had a smile on his face, The lunch was sensational and well presented, the camels and camel ride were so magical and the camels looked well cared for, All in all it was excellent and we have booked the desert dinner because of this trip!!

Driver didn't pick us up. Arguments. Tour left without us.

Our hotel was deep in the Medina, and hard to reach. We proposed to meet at the Jemaa el Fna main square in the morning.. The tour operator contacted us and said it was too far for us to walk, and that we should meet at a city gate near our hotel to be picked up. The next morning we waited at the gate, and no driver showed. Finallythe driver called us, said it was impossible to pick us up at the Gate (Not true, it is next to a main road) and that we should take a taxi to meet him at the Jemaa el Fna (!!!!). This was ridiculous. We insisted on being picked up at the gate (the operator's suggestion). The driver refused. Much back and forth then with the driver and the tour operator. So much time lost. Tour operator told us to cancel. Presumably the tour went on without us. Operator then suggested to take the tour the next day, but that was our last day, we already had other plans, and it was supposed pour with rain, and we no longer had confidence in the tour operator. So we never got the tour. Massive disappointment.

Amazing tour in the Atlas mountains

We had a wonderful day in the Atlas mountains. Mohamed our guide is very nice and showed us the Berber culture, we had the chance to visit and see amazing landscapes, take the tea at his own house with his family and end the day with a camel ride in Agafay ! Thanks a lot Mohamed for this amazing day. I totally recommend him for an immersive tour in Morocco !

A quiet and different day with an agency that works very well

Breathing trip from chaotic Marrakech. At the agency they are lovely and our guide was very friendly. Two hour trip by van, quiet walk through the village and between the mountains of another couple of hours. Delicious food in a Berber village. It’s not a spectacular “don’t miss it” trip nor would I say it’s a must, but if you’re going to Morocco for several days it can be an option to do something different and quiet.
