Description
A unique 3 days 2 nights journey from Marrakech to Fes (with the option to return to Marrakech instead) by comfortable minivan/minibus. Begin by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, stopping at panoramic viewpoints before visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a famous film location. Continue through the Valley of the Roses to reach the dramatic Dades Gorge for sunset. On day two, explore the magnificent Todra Gorges on foot and drive the Road of 1000 Kasbahs. Discover the bustling market of historic Rissani before heading to Merzouga for a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, spending the night in a desert camp under the stars. Day three begins with sunrise over the Sahara, followed by a journey through the verdant Ziz Valley, lunch in Midelt (the "apple village"), and a drive through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas before arriving in Fes.

The adventure begins with departure from the city. In which you get picked up from your hotel or a pre-arranged meeting point in Marrakech.
A scenic drive through the mountains, passing Berber villages, waterfalls, and changing landscapes.
The Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass, reaching an altitude of 2,260 meters (7,415 feet).
Aït Benhaddou is a historic ighrem or ksar along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakesh in Morocco. It is considered a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
A scenic drive through the valley, famous for its vibrant Damascus roses.
The Dades Valley, arriving at the dramatic Dades Gorge. Arrival timed for sunset to see the warm, golden glow on the towering rock formations. Check-in to a traditional hotel in the gorge, including dinner and overnight stay.
The Todra Gorges (breathtaking canyon) Morning exploration on foot to immerse yourself in the canyon scenery before beginning the drive.
Road of 1000 Kasbahs. The route passing through the charming village of Tinghir. A scenic drive along a picturesque route dotted with ancient fortifications.
The historic town of Rissani. Stop for lunch, followed by a leisurely walk to experience the bustling local market (reputedly the largest in the area) and explore surrounding kasbahs with their unique stories and architectural charm.
we take the way towards Merzouga arriving before the time of the sunset. From here we will leave our car in a hotel and we will start off by Camel into the Erg Chebbi Dunes for an incredible and unforgettable night in a Berber tent where we will have dinner under millions of stars a overnight in the berber tent .
Early morning wake-up by the camel guide to witness a mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes.
The route through the verdant Ziz Valley. Scenic drive through landscapes featuring sprawling palm groves.
Stop for lunch at The town of Midelt, often referred to as the "apple village."
We pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort in a totally un-Moroccan style built by the French in the 1930's to resemble a Swiss village; we visit the cedars forest in Azrou where you will see the monkeys.
After Short stops at panoramic viewpoints for stunning photos and comfort breaks on the way. You finally reach reach Fez. Arrival estimated between 19:00 and 20:00 in the late afternoon/evening, marking the end of the memorable trip.

The tour on the whole was very good and well organised. It came with 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts. The food served at dinners were traditional Moroccan dishes and they were very nice. The tent we stayed in the desert came with an en-suite bathroom and an air conditioner and we only paid the basic price. A big bonus. The driver picked us up and dropped us off to our riad at the end of the tour. Very good service there. My only comment would be the drive/guide’s command of English could be better as he could not explain in details and history of the different landmarks. Otherwise, on the whole, a really good tour and very good price.

It was a very good experience even though our Day 1 is on a cloudy desert. 2nd day is the best with quadbike ride. Moha, our driver and tour guide is so smily, all fun and very friendly.

It’s a long ride but stops and sights to see are definitely worth it. The driver - Mohaa was a very enthusiastic person and all smiles. Getting to the desert was the highlight of the trip and tied everything together nicely. I recommend!

Excellent stay accompanied by our driver Mahfoud on April 29 and 30, 2026. He is considerate and attentive he thought to take me to a pharmacy when I needed it. His conduct respects the rules imposed on him by his company sometimes putting the security after the compliance with the hours imposed on him. The vehicle does not always have the belts in working order. Otherwise the condition of the vehicle is impeccable. Mahfoud does not hesitate to translate into the different languages necessary for the group. He's smiling, he's got humor. It allows us to play the music according to our choice and set the mood. I recommend Mahfoud by any measure. We will retain an excellent memory of this stay which allowed us to enjoy an unforgettable sunset and sunrise. The tent in which we slept is very spacious and has a private bathroom that meets our expectations. Very comfortable bed and king size bed. I'll put a downside on the late night show that was a little below my expectations. Just a little straw that went out quickly, songs and an initiation to local instruments.
