Start your day at the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech. Admire its stunning minaret, which stands at 77 meters and is a significant landmark of the city. Note that non-Muslims cannot enter the mosque
Stepping into a Berber pharmacy is an immersion into centuries of North African medicinal wisdom, where the walls are lined with glass jars holding the "secrets" of the Atlas Mountains. These traditional apothecary spaces are centers for natural healing, where you can learn the science behind Argan oil production and the various grades of Saffron, often referred to as Morocco's "Red Gold." Beyond spices, a visit reveals the use of ancient cosmetics like Aker Fassi (poppy leaf powder) and mineral-rich Ghassoul clay, offering a unique masterclass in how indigenous plants and minerals have been used for generations to treat everything from physical ailments to holistic beauty.
Next, make your way to a silver shop, showcasing exquisite handcrafted jewelry and intricate designs that reflect Moroccan artistry.
Don’t miss the kaftan boutiques, where beautifully embroidered garments await, perfect for special occasions or as a cultural keepsake.
As the sun sets, the dazzling lamp shops come alive with an array of colorful lanterns, casting enchanting shadows.

Karaoui was an excellent guide for my friend and I. He was so patient and funny. We did a shorter tour but he still pointed out places we should return to. And he taught us how to shop and order on our own so we were prepared for the rest of our trip. Definitely recommend doing this at the beginning of your visit to get your bearings.

Mustapha was a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable and really personable. We enjoyed exploring the Medina under his guidance and realized that there is no way we would have found it as enjoyable without his service. He seemed to be able to gauge exactly how much information and time we wanted to spend enjoying each attraction. His English was great and he was super interesting.
