Marrakech Souks Guided Walking Tour

I cannot recommend this tour company highly enough, and in particular our phenomenal guide Ismail. Having experienced a fantastic tour of the Atlas Mountains with this company in October 2024, we knew we could trust them to look after us on our return visit. We took a private tour of the medina this morning (me, my husband and our children 7 and 6) and Ismail was the perfect guide. Funny, interesting, super knowledgable (we learnt so much), patient (he answered at least 100 questions from our daughter!) and kind. Ismail shaped the tour specifically to our needs, which was crucial with such young children and such a busy and intense location. Today was the absolute highlight of our holiday. Thank you Ismail! Ismail provided us with a very enjoyable walking tour of the souk. He provided us with an exceptionally broad range of facts and figures about local interests and also the wider world. His enthusiasm and humour kept us entertained throughout. A guided tour is the only way for a visitor to adequately explore the souk and we would definitely recommend Ismail as a guide.

I recently took a walking tour in the Medina with Ismail, and it was an incredible experience! Ismail was an amazing guide who shared so much about the history and culture of Marrakech. He explained the beautiful Moroccan architecture and the strong relationship between Morocco and America. He English was fluent which made the tour even better. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marrakech!

Morocco was not part of our itinerary but me and my wife thought why not, what we did not know we will be welcomed by a loving guide who made the trip so exciting, safe and wonderful. Ismail not only provided the perfect tour but also accommodated every single ask. We love Morocco and are planning to come back next year.

This was an amazing tour and overall experience! Our guide Ishmail was fantastic! So friendly and knowledgeable and guided us through the maze of souks and neighborhoods that we definitely would have gotten lost in on our own! We got to see all these amazing shops and take our time looking and shopping. Ishmail was a big help in haggling and making sure we got the best price! Not to mention he took wonderful pictures and had a great eye for a quality backdrop. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Ishmail if you can!

Ismail is awesome, he provided insightful perspective on the history and culture of Marrakesh and was like having personal shopper par excellence to help navigate the alleyways of the old town market - he even helped barter to get a fair price. Ismail is my go to for any visits to Marrakesh! Love his energy and enthusiasm for his home!

We had a great walking tour with Ismail and it was everything we wanted and more!! This is our first time in Marrakech and the country and we know nothing really of its history. We decided to have a guide and after looking on here found Ismail came up first! Ismail Speaks great English and knows so much about the city and the history. We didn't really know what we wanted from the trip apart to see some of the old medina, and what we go was great! First we met at the square then he took us round the town showing us everything from where they bake bread underground to the old schools and mosques. Everyone seems to know him and hustlers leave you alone. He even gave beggers money as we were going round and not to even show off, one was a very quick backhanded gesture to an old lady. He took us into places we would not have ventured ourselves and helped our son get a fair price haggling for goods! He was able to tailor the tour to us as it was private which was great. I would 100% recommend him.

We were with Ismail for 3 days. He exceeded all of our expectations. We had the most magnificent time in Morocco. We saw the beautiful medrassa ben yousef. The beautiful shops of the medina and found everything we wanted. He has excellent English, a deep knowledge of the history

Our very informative and enthusiastic guide Ismail lead us through old Medina. We spent an enjoyable afternoon strolling throughout the winding alleyways of the marketplace and visited a variety of interesting shops. Ismail regaled us with the history of Marrakesh and the surrounding areas in Morocco. We had a delicious lunch of lamb at a famous eating establishment. My husband and I would definitely recommend this tour company and especially Ismail to guide you!
