Marrakech: Souk Tastings & Shopping by Night Guided Walking Tour.

Our guide Mo was really knowledgeable and helpful he wove in a lot of history and has made us want to return to some of the souks where we wouldn't have ventured or discovered otherwise.

A great tour of Marrakech, starting with the historical roots of the nation, and the city, before moving on to explore the sights, sounds, smells & tastes of the souks. The tour finishes on a rooftop bar overlooking the square. The views are amazing.

If you want an introduction into the medina of Marrakech, this tour and guide is for you. We met our guide on time, outside a cafe in the main square, which was easy to find. He spoke excellent English and was very informative. He showed us a side of the Medina we were unable to see on our own due to the winding and confusing nature of the souks. He walked us through a number of things including: • the food • the performers • the souks • the local riads • the Mosque • general history of the area and it's people Any question he answered with confidence, utterly knowledgeable. We did this tour towards the end of our holiday, but think it would have been even more useful at the start. It isn't just a tour of the medina, he gives advice on who you can take pictures of, how much to pay, where to avoid. Anything you can think of, you can ask. The culture is so different and you can feel lost in it, but he helps you find your way. On the tour we stopped at a shop in the souks where he bought us some nuts. The other family we were with wanted to buy ice cream for their children, and he negotiated a price on their behalf to stop them from being ripped off. At the end of the tour he took us to a rooftop bar which was a hidden gem. The best rooftop we had been to in the city, you could see the entire main square and it was mesmerising. A soft drink was included here. At the end of the tour, he did such a fantastic job we felt he utterly deserved a tip (despite it being the culture there to tip anyway), however he would not take any money from us, which was a refreshing break. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting and wanting a bit of knowledge on the area before going out on their own. It is a daunting place if you aren't use to it, but he put our minds at ease. We wish we had done it at the beginning of the holiday. We wish we got his name, as he did such a fantastic job.

Interesting visit around the Square of Jemaa el-Fnaa detailing the trade , different artists, types if food. The Mosquée of Koutubia and north Quarter of Medina. The guide Hussein is very humble and kind with an exquisit humor that make us feel the kindness of marrocan people. He detailed some aspects of history, architecture, old doors, etc. Nice first aproach to the city of Marrakech and its culture.

No show by tour guide even after phoning their contact number and them saying someone would come, they didn't!

Guide gave really interesting information and I enjoyed stopping on the balcony after the tour with the guide and fellow travelers.

Hussein is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. With him we explored areas that we would never have found alone.
