The Koutoubia Mosque is Marrakech's largest and most iconic mosque, known for its stunning 77-meter-high minaret, which dominates the city's skyline. Built in the 12th century during the Almohad dynasty, it's a prime example of Moroccan-Andalusian architecture. The mosque's name, "Koutoubia," comes from the Arabic word for booksellers, as it was once surrounded by a bustling book market. Though non-Muslims cannot enter, its beautifully landscaped gardens and majestic exterior make it a must-see landmark for visitors to Marrakech.
The Bahia Palace, located in the heart of Marrakech, is a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture and design. Built in the late 19th century by Si Moussa, a grand vizier of the sultan, the palace was intended to be the most magnificent of its time. "Bahia" means "brilliance," and the palace lives up to its name with intricate tilework, hand-carved wooden ceilings, and lush gardens. Spanning over 8 hectares, it features beautiful courtyards, tranquil fountains, and opulent rooms designed to showcase the grandeur of Moroccan craftsmanship. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the luxurious lifestyle of the Moroccan elite.
The Ben Youssef Mosque, one of the oldest and most important mosques in Marrakech, represents a cornerstone of the city’s spiritual and architectural history. Built in the 12th century and later restored, it stands beside the famous Ben Youssef Madrasa. Though non-Muslims cannot enter, its exterior is a beautiful example of Almoravid design, perfect for admiration and photography. After taking in the mosque, we'll venture through the captivating maze of souks. Our journey will take us through the vibrant Leather Section, where artisans craft fine bags, shoes, and jackets. Next, we’ll visit the Blacksmith Section, where the sound of hammering metal fills the air as craftsmen forge traditional Moroccan tools and decor. Then, we'll wander through the Wood Section, home to intricate wooden carvings and beautiful furniture. Finally, we’ll pass through the Souk Semmarine, the city’s main artery, before arriving at the iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the beating heart of Marrakech.
A "Berber Pharmacy," also known as a "Herboristerie," offers a unique experience where visitors can discover traditional Moroccan remedies and beauty products. These pharmacies showcase the rich herbal traditions of the Berber people, featuring natural oils, medicinal herbs, spices, and wellness products used for centuries in Moroccan culture. The best experience in Marrakesh! We were only there for the day but Abdel, our guide was so knowledgable and accomodating for our needs. My mother can't walk very far so he tailored the tour to allow her to experience Marrakesh making the most amazing memories! Would 100% reccomend to anyone.

Very exciting, very informative and thorough, the Gide friendly and effortful. The program (we had already seen the Bahia Palace) should have been better organized by the Medrasa. So only about 2 hours, but very expensive. Still, we liked it.
English The program was delivered exactly as described in the itinerary. Normally, the tour includes a visit to the Bahia Palace, followed by a transfer to the Medrasa, with the rest of the experience done on foot and accompanied by a certified guide. However, when we met, you informed me that you had already visited the Bahia Palace. For that reason, there was no need to include it again, which naturally reduced the total duration of the tour. Under normal circumstances, the Bahia Palace visit alone takes around one hour. To close this gap, I also added an extra transfer for you from the Medrasa to Jemaa el-Fna. A certified guide was provided throughout, along with two tuk-tuk transfers. Based on this, I believe the service fully matched what was promised. Considering the presence of a certified guide and the two-way tuk-tuk transportation, the experience was fairly priced. ⸻ Deutsch (German) Das Programm wurde genau wie im Reiseplan beschrieben durchgeführt. Normalerweise beinhaltet die Tour einen Besuch des Bahia-Palastes, anschließend einen Transfer zur Medrasa, und der restliche Teil der Tour erfolgt zu Fuß in Begleitung eines zertifizierten Guides. Beim Treffen haben Sie mir jedoch mitgeteilt, dass Sie den Bahia-Palast bereits besucht hatten. Aus diesem Grund war ein erneuter Besuch nicht notwendig, was die Gesamtdauer der Tour entsprechend verkürzt hat. Unter normalen Umständen dauert allein der Besuch des Bahia-Palastes etwa eine Stunde. Um diesen Unterschied auszugleichen, habe ich Ihnen zusätzlich einen Transfer von der Medrasa zum Jemaa el-Fna-Platz organisiert. Während der gesamten Tour stand Ihnen ein zertifizierter Guide zur Verfügung, ebenso wie zwei Tuk-Tuk-Fahrten. Auf dieser Grundlage bin ich der Ansicht, dass die erbrachte Leistung vollständig dem zugesagten Angebot entsprach. In Anbetracht des zertifizierten Guides und der Hin- und Rückfahrt mit dem Tuk-Tuk war der Preis angemessen.
Abdel was a fantastic guide! We went to several different stops around Marrakesh. Some walking, and part of the way in a tuk tuk. He explained so much of the history to us and waited for us to explore a little on our own at a couple of places. Would highly recommend!

Had a great 3/4 hours with Abdel guiding us around the key sites. Clear and easy communication, took me and my daughter first to the Bahia Palace then Medrassa Ben Youaseff via tuk tuk then a walk around the souk/markets. Abdel was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into the origins of Marrakesh and detailed information on the main landmarks we saw. We had plenty of time to wander by ourselves and take pictures, and hit to experience local coffee (Berber style) and a great place for lamb. We also know where to head back into the markets tomorrow to watch the artisans at work. Highly recommend.

Our first time in Marrakesh and a really excellent idea to see the main attractions, an absolute must for anyone visiting this amazing place.
