WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

- I've booked for an Italian speaking guide : the guide COULDN'T speak Italian AT ALL, he just confused Italian with Spanish. I'm Italian and I'm a language teacher too : I had to translate from English/Spanish the explanation to my friends who couldn't speak English. - We didn't visit all the places listed in the tour. - The tour lasted 3 and 1/2 hour , instead of 5 hours, as stated in the voucher. - The pick up and drop off should have been at our place or, at least, close to it: but it wasn't : we had to take a taxi to arrive at a very far meeting point. Not to mention all the arrogance he had during all the tour... I contacted EASYTRANSFER but they didn't help us at all. When I reported everything to the broker company where I had booked the guide (GETYOURGUIDE), they just denied everything, so I couldn't have a total refund. The company was really incorrect and not transparent.

NOT recommended

Very unorganized and uninspiring tour. First they didn't make it clear if it as private or group. Second they didn't pick us from the hotel entrance and we had trouble finding them. Third after reaching the first spot we kept waiting over 30mins for other parties to join us which was a waste of our time. Next there was another lady who was doing a half day tour with us even though we were doing a full day tour. The itinerary was so unclear nobody the driver or the guide knew the full plan and timings. The guide we got was not audible as he spoke very fast and very faintly. Plus we got no time to do any shopping. We didn't even cover all the spots that were promised. At one point, the guide left us at the secret garden and we wanted to contact him but the driver or administration didn't give us his number even after asking multiple times. In the end we were so disappointed we decided to do explore Marrakech on our own and we didn’t even complete the 6-7 hours. Please don’t waste your money on this trip. Also, this is one of the more expensive tours as compared to others.

Operator response

Apologies for the confusion regarding the type of tour. It's clear from the price you paid that it was a group tour, and the lack of clarity regarding this aspect added to your disappointment. It's important for tour operators to provide clear information upfront about the type of tour and its specific inclusions. We appreciate you pointing out this discrepancy, as it helps others make informed decisions when selecting their tour options. It's unfortunate that the tour did not meet your expectations and that the experience fell short in several aspects. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we apologize for any confusion caused. We hope that your future travel experiences are more positive and enjoyable.

TO AVOID

We booked this tour with my boyfriend. Pros and cons included: POSITIVES: The visit to the monuments was very good, the guide explained the history of the monuments without it being too long or too short. - As we were with the guide, many sellers “catch tourist” did not come to us, we were quiet! NEGATIVES: We pass by two shops that the guide knows. The guide must receive a small commission on our purchases. The craft cooperative shop is a real con artist. The Tea Service sold, the same packaging and the same glasses as the shop of our hotel where it was sold 3 times cheaper (450 DH against 180 DH). Size of the slides ask 44 for the three pairs: we finally got two pairs of 43 and a pair of 45. Prices are not displayed, trace your way. At the end of the tour, the guide was in a hurry and was running! This excursion was rewarding in terms of monuments but they think tourists are pigeons. Avoid!

Operator response

I will comment on your negative points. The souks and shops are part of the city tour however you are not obliged to buy anything, so where is the issue here.

DISAPPOINTING DRIVING

We did this tour with the guide Farid (I hope it is written that way), very disappointing... it was running, there was no time to take pictures, quick explanations... in the souks we could barely buy some magnets from a single stand, because they preferred us to leave the money where they decided: we were taken to a PHARMACY (full of tourists crowded in every hole) where they CLAIMED to buy argan oil etc... we were also filmed because we bought only 10€ of tea, and they also wanted the tip... Everything is done on foot, they lose a lot of time for travel (about 7 km, measured with the app) that if accompanied by the bus, could be spent with time to visit! REMEMBER THAT TOURISTS COME ONCE...IF THE GUIDES DON'T FEEL LIKE IT, YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THEM! The restaurant was great!

Hello , My sincere appologies if our service did not met your expectations . The tour includes walking at the city and the visit to the Argan cooperative is a part for the tour but it's never obligatory to buy .

Great days out with idris

We have had such a good time in Morocco thanks to Idris and easytransfers. It was so easy to communicate with them and they were punctual with their pick ups and transfers every single time. We used them multiple times throughout our stay in Morocco and Idris took us wherever we wanted to go. Big shout out to Idris for all the laughs and jokes, he should be employee of the year!

Warm welcome in many ways

Today we visited Marrakech. The tour through the impressive city was very interesting thanks to a very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Also the transportation from and to our hotel outside the city was very well organized. All in all a great experience!

Dishonest Tour Guide

While this tour was not too terrible, our tour guide took us to a store that sells spices and we were completely ripped off. These guides take advantage of tourists who trust them to show them their beautiful city! I was utterly disappointed by this.

Imperdible

Guided tour of the Medina of Marrakech is one of the must-see tours as it is the heart of the city and Moroccan culture, negotiating the prices in the trade is an art to be developed and appreciated by local sellers. I do not recommend a visit to Medina without a local guide. Because the traffic in the narrow streets is a chaos, a lot of people and a lot of motonetas, which does not have much respect for pedestrians.

Marrakech City guided day tour with lunch

Can't recommend. There were four of us. Two of them suddenly remembered that there was a flight to catch in three hours. None of our concern, but the guide started hurrying through the city like a madman. We could hardly catch up. No time for pictures. I asked him to go slower, and that I had booked a walking tour, not a running tour. He ignored it. We also left out at least one site. The guide told us that the visit at the Jardin Majorelle would take one hour. He somehow forgot to mention the huge line in front of the entrance. We waited for 30 minutes, then raced through the garden. Far from pleasant!
