Meet your guide in the morning and begin your exploratory journey at the Koutoubia Mosque, a towering 12th-century landmark known for its beautifully ornate minaret that dominates the Marrakech skyline. As you admire its stunning architecture from the outside, your guide will share fascinating stories about its historical significance and the role it plays in the local community. Please note that non-Muslims are not permitted to enter the mosque
The second stop will be at the Bahia Palace, a mid- to late 19th-century palace, a stunning example of Moroccan architectural masterpieces, with its ornate rooms, serene courtyards, and lush gardens. Here, you'll gain an appreciation for the grandeur and attention to detail that characterize Marrakech's rich heritage.
Head into the souks surrounding Jemaa el Fna, where you'll experience the vibrant heart of Marrakech. These markets are vital to the city's culture, showcasing skilled artisans and craftsmen who preserve traditional techniques. You'll visit workshops to see their craftsmanship firsthand and stop at a traditional coffee shop to learn about sand coffee, an essential part of Moroccan coffee culture. We had such a great tour with Yassin. He gave us such great information. He is obviously very proud of his heritage and culture, which made this tour so interesting and fun. He took us to lots of hidden gems and gave us great advice on how to get the best deals and where to eat. He was even on hand to answer questions the day after our tour when we were confused about something. If we ever return to marrakech I will definitely book another tour with Yassin. I highly recommend booking, you won't be disappointed.

Our local guide Yassine was very friendly and kind, and especially knowledgeable. In particular he characterized his explanations with the right mix of history and culture as well as curiosities on local traditions and people, or tips for doing shopping in the souks. We were in Marrakech at the end of March and chose to rely on a guided tour to discover the city and, in particular, the Medina. The experience was extremely positive: Majoub accompanied us through alleys and views that we would hardly have explored alone, enriching the route with clear and in-depth explanations of local history and traditions. I highly recommend, even to those who stop in the city for a few days, to rely on Yssime: it is a choice that makes the visit much more complete and engaging.
