The man was on time, very communicative and kind. He even called my hotel before we arrived, so the hotel staff were ready to collect me as soon as I reached the drop-off point. Overall, a 10/10 experience - very convenient and pleasant.
Super service for SUNTRANSFERS hourly respects and kindness of drivers especially for the driver of return
I honestly don't know how many stars to give to this city (and not just to the square). Marrakesh is not a Moroccan city. Marrakesh is the Las Vegas of Morocco, but it only has the Moroccan trappings that Westerners like so much. Clean, beautiful, very expensive, but absolutely not representative of Moroccan culture, which struts around in this Medina in an almost cloying way and not in keeping with its true nature. I have lived in Morocco for 2 years now and I was personally disturbed to see how the West - and Western tourists - have defaced this wonderful city. But I know Westerners will like it. After all, Marrakesh is exactly what they expect from Morocco.
The entire day was raining when we visited Jemaa el-Fnaa. This is a main square and market place in Marrakesh's medina quarter. Not much action due to the rain. All the horse drawn carriages were parked. Tourists sat inside restaurants while others were queuing in line to exchange money in banks or using the ATMs. We been told they offer better exchange rates in the Jemaa el-Fnaa.
Characteristic square which comes alive in a big way from mid-afternoon. Banquets, colors, enormous chaos. But this is also the beauty of Marrakech.
3rd visit to the place and the 4 unanimous opinions: disappointing, tiring, and scams of all kinds. We've done several souks in Morocco, and this is really the worst we've done. The scooters driving at high speed in the small alleys, the pushy sellers and the incessant noise….horrible. Marrakech to avoid in Morocco Go to Essaouira or Agadir….you will be delighted
15€ (excessive price as everything there because it is 15 min.) each trip with civitatis, the driver who picked us up very attentive helping, making us feel comfortable with the music, explaining things there for us to be...a wonder for the arrival, he contacted the boy of our Riad since by car he could not reach the door, so it is great to arrive to a new city, on the return we took it because it was at 23:30 at night and see that if we took taxi they would take us safe.
Square full of colors, scents, people and animals From morning to night always on the move My journey started with a mint tea on a terrace of a bar overlooking the square and so I wanted it to end....it is the symbol of Marrachek, where everything moves. From there you start to the narrow streets of the souk, a tangle of lanes. There are many stalls that offer freshly squeezed and delicious juices (very good with pomegranate). Snake charmers, monkey trainers, shoe cleaners, storytellers... you'll be fascinated.
Very lively place. Mood assured. Especially after dark. Lots of entertainment, lots of music and especially lots of people. Besides, we're never bored. Walk through shops and alleys. To do without hesitation.
No hassle getting through arrivals, transfers waiting and no delays. Airport was bright and well ventilated
