Margaret River ultimate experience for people who don't do tours!

Thanks for the wonderful review and recommendation. I'm stoked you enjoyed the day and the variety of experiences. One of the things I love most about Margaret River is that within a single day you can paddle the river, enjoy a long winery lunch, explore spectacular coastal scenery and still feel like you've only scratched the surface. The small group format is a big part of what makes the experience work. It allows the day to unfold at a relaxed pace, with plenty of opportunities for questions, conversations and the occasional detour when something interesting appears. And while I should probably point out that we were technically canoeing rather than kayaking, after 18 years I've learned not to be too precious about the distinction! 😄 Thanks again for joining me and for taking the time to share your experience. One of the things I enjoy most about these tours is bringing together people from different places and watching complete strangers become friends by the end of the day. Thanks Frances. I absolutely loved hosting you both for the day! I reckon your review highlights one of the biggest misconceptions about the tour — people see "canoeing" and imagine some sort of wilderness survival expedition. The reality is it's probably the gentlest canoe trip on Earth. No rapids, no crocodiles and, most importantly, no getting wet! I was also thrilled we managed to throw dolphins into the mix. They don't always read the itinerary but occasionally they cooperate. Thanks again for the wonderful review and for encouraging people to do the tour early in their stay. Thanks Alison. The weather certainly gave us the full Margaret River experience that day! Four seasons before lunch and another four afterwards. I'm so pleased you embraced it all and enjoyed the contrast between the calm of the river, the wild coastline and the winery experience at Fraser Gallop Estate. One of the challenges when designing the tour was figuring out how to showcase the incredible diversity of Margaret River in a single day without making it feel rushed. Thankfully after eighteen years of tinkering, refining and occasional stubbornness, I think we've got the balance about right. The small group format is something I'm particularly passionate about. Margaret River has some incredible stories to tell, but they tend to land a bit better over a paddle, a glass of wine, or a clifftop view than they do from behind a lectern.
