Manhattan Architecture Yacht Cruise

Description
Step aboard the teak decks of elegant 1920s style yachts, Manhattan or Manhattan II, and enjoy a 2.75 hour cruise while learning about NYC's architectural landmarks from the water. The "Around Manhattan" tour narration, provided by members of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) NYC chapter, is general enough for visitors yet detailed enough for the locals. Experience a comfortable and unique tour through the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers from a glassed-in observatory cabin, which has sliding windows for a fresh breeze, or wander to an open bow for more unobstructed views of the surrounding sites. On this cruise, guests will circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, passing under all 18 bridges, while taking in monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure with narration throughout the cruise. Important note: select departures on Friday afternoons will focus on Climate Change in and around New York City. Please call the operator directly for questions on the tour theme.

NYC skyline from the water is beautiful. Boat staff and tour guide were exceptional. Highly recommend.
Many guests talked loudly making it hard to hear. I would have liked more info about many buildings we passed.
Joel, thank you for booking a tour with us and taking some time to provide your valuable feedback. We are sorry to learn that it was difficult to hear due to the ambient noise level from other guest conversations. We will remind our crew and guides to pay close attention to this. If you have more information about what kind of content you would have preferred for the architectural narration, we would love to hear it at feedback@sail-nyc.com. Thank you! - Caleb at Classic Harbor Line
Well.planned & helpful, happy staff! No complaints or foul ups. Sparking clean facility. Excellent trip guide= good learning. Comfortable. Extremely attentive staff -- especially Hunter who took a personal and professional interest in our well being.
This tour was incredible. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the city including all the boroughs, Jersey, societal and political impacts of buildings, art, design, history, and more! The boat was BEAUTIFUL, there was plenty of room to move around, seats were comfy and spacious, and the deck was awesome. There was time to ask questions, just look around, and listen. I’m local to the city and there were plenty of fun facts I didn’t know. I would highly recommend this for anyone interested in construction, city planning, fun facts, or just looking to be on a boat in the sun and leave with more knowledge than you realized. Also, no need to reserve a dedicated table if there’s only 2-3 of you, there is plenty of room and they put up dividers for visual separations you want it. 10/10!!!!!

This was a perfect way to spend my husband’s birthday! The yacht was impeccable and the staff was wonderful! Our guide was very knowledgeable of not only the architectural design aspects but also of the history of manhattan! Great Tour! Would highly recommend it!
Well worth the trip - cruise all the way around the island of Manhattan on a modern, well appointed yacht. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and there is no better way to view the entire city. As a frequent traveler to NYC, I learned so much more about the city and other areas to explore. A fabulous experience!
Maybe prepare before you go. Info comes very fast and I wasn't able to follow what she was talking about. But didn't bother me, the boat was excellent, views of the city are wonderful. Would take the tour again if we go back to NYC
The cruise is about 3 hours long and very interesting. It happened to be a beautiful day which made it pleasant to be outside. Please note the architect on board was extremely knowledgeable and did speak for most of the cruise. Some of the time it was a little difficult to understand exactly what was been highlighted. If you were seated inside you were expected to remain quiet so that all passengers could hear the speaker. Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed it and I would recommend it to tourists.
I really enjoyed the trip; it was super comfortable and safe.
