Manhattan Architecture Yacht Cruise

Description
Step aboard the teak decks of elegant 1920s style yachts, Manhattan or Manhattan II, and enjoy a 2.75 hour cruise while learning about NYC's architectural landmarks from the water. The "Around Manhattan" tour narration, provided by members of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) NYC chapter, is general enough for visitors yet detailed enough for the locals. Experience a comfortable and unique tour through the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers from a glassed-in observatory cabin, which has sliding windows for a fresh breeze, or wander to an open bow for more unobstructed views of the surrounding sites. On this cruise, guests will circumnavigate the island of Manhattan, passing under all 18 bridges, while taking in monuments, architecture, parks and infrastructure with narration throughout the cruise. Important note: select departures on Friday afternoons will focus on Climate Change in and around New York City. Please call the operator directly for questions on the tour theme.

Fantastic tour, highly recommend. Tour guide was great, super knowledgeable. Staff was extremely friendly. Boat was beautiful and clean inside. Absolute best way to see NYC and Statue of Liberty.
Enjoyed a beautiful afternoon exploring a different view of NYC from the water! Ginny was very knowledgeable regarding the history behind many iconic and lesser know buildings in the NYC area! Yuli and Devon and the rest of the boat crew were amazing and super attentive! A perfect Thursday as it was not crowded and ample opportunity to be both inside and outside for the tour! Would definitely return again!
Comfortable accommodations no matter the weather. I have done this three times and have had three different weather situations and none of them ruined our experience. The narrators are very knowledgeable without being dry or boring.
This was an excellent tour. Knowledgeable guide and attentive crew. Gorgeous views of Manhattan. It was a beautiful, sunny day on the water.
The Teak Boat is a new beautiful modernization of Glass bottom boats ( all except the bottom is see-thru). The staff is lovely and the Expert Guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The perfect way to see and learn about New York from a whole new perspective.
Taking this tour second time. Beautiful yacht and excellent guide.

Tour was very good, this was the third time we’ve gone over a number of years. Crew of Terry, Tim and Pedro was excellent, and the architect gave a fine talk. Very nice ships, pleasant atmosphere and a great way to see NYC circling all around the island.
Thank you for booking another tour with us and taking some time to provide your valuable feedback and recommendation. We are elated to hear that your third visit was just as enjoyable, and that Terry, Tim, and Pedro provided excellent service. It's wonderful to know the architect's talk and the style of the boat added to a memorable experience circling the island. We hope to see you again soon! - Classic Harbor Line
We were disappointed in this cruise. The sound system was terrible. They explained on the boat that it was a "quiet cruise" so to keep conversations at low volume so others could hear. No one tried to enforce that. People all around us were talking at normal volume and there were young children being young children. Why allow toddlers on a "quiet cruise"?! We could barely hear anything the guide said. He walked around with a microphone and if I couldn't see his face, I couldn't hear him at all. The boat was nice, the views were lovely. If you want an expensive, long tour just for the view, without narration, this is good. If you expect to learn anything, book something else.
D'Ann, thank you for booking a tour with us and taking some time to provide your valuable feedback. We're sorry to hear your experience fell short of expectations. We're glad the vessel and the views were enjoyable, but we understand how frustrating it must have been to miss the narration due to sound and noise challenges. Please reach out to us at feedback@sail-nyc.com so that we can address your concerns directly. We look forward to hearing from you! - Classic Harbor Line
