Julian was knowledgeable and an excellent guide! He made sure all went well for activities of the day. He also provided a number of great recommendations for the remainder of our stay on Madrid.
Our guide Taylor was outstanding! A very pleasant lady from Great Britain that our group was very happy with. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. The problem with the tour was that it was an 8 hour tour and she was only with us for 3 hours. We had to tour the palace and the Prado on our own since she didn’t come in with us to guide us. We thought we were booking. A guided tour. We were disappointed that we had to those places on our own. For the price, we should have had a fully guided tour.
Great tour!! It was only my mom and I on the whole tour and our guide Julian was great!! A good amount of time for the prado and lunch before meeting in the afternoon!
What the description does not say is that it is a full day of walking. After walking through the park which was lengthy, we walked to the Prado Museum which we were given 3 hours there. After the museum we had to walk about 1/2 hour to the meeting place to continue the tour to the Royal Palace., which also involved a walk to it. By this time I was completely exhausted. I am a senior citizen but it was also tiring for my family. We tried to get the tickets for the Royal Palace exchanged for another day but was told it could not be done. We took a cab back to our hotel. My children then went to the Royal Palace to see if they could get an exchange. They were told if they got in touch with Panda they could do it, but they could not get to Panda. Rather then not go they used their passes and went in. We went back to the Royal Palace together a few days later and paid the admission price. I have taken many tours but never was there a full day of walking. Usually a vehicle drove you to the selected spot, and then picked you up and delivered you to the next point of interest.
Julian was a wonderful guide. His English was very good and he was very conversational with lots of information. Our only downer was that our tickets included admission to the palace but they abruptly closed it before our tour due to a ceremonial event.
Parc de Madrid was gorgeous and it was a very peaceful way to start our tour with Julian. Julian is a remarkable young man. He is very knowledgeable, intelligent and kind. We enjoyed his tour very much
The tour was good and we were able to experience three important landmarks of Madrid. Our guide was a college student and was very friendly and knowledgeable. There are a few things to keep in mind before deciding to buy this tour - 1. This is a pure walking tour. You are responsible for reaching two meeting points, one in the morning and one in the afternoon by yourself. 2.The guide does not go with you inside the Prado Museum or the Royal Palace. They buy you the “Audio Guides” as part of the package. You basically take a self guided tour of these two places. We observed other tours in the Royal Palace with a professional guide inside the Palace. 2. The schedule is a little messed up. The guide leaves you at the entrance of the Prado museum and gives you two hours to see the museum, eat lunch and get to a meeting point that is 30 minutes walk or 15 minutes taxi ride. Our guide was sweet enough to wait for us, when we could not get to the second meeting point on time. With little bit of research, you can buy the Prado Museum and Royal Palace tickets yourself from their websites and use readily available Taxis to reach the destinations.
Katy and Hayley were very knowledgeable and friendly guides. The tour itself was very beautiful and historic. Highly recommend 10/10!
It was great tour with lots of fun places to see. lots of walk, we were tired by the end of the tour.
