Michele was an outstanding tour guide , we learned a great deal about the history of Madrid! This tour was a great way to get oriented on our first trip here. Michele also had tips on other sights, places to eat, and local happenings. I highly recommend! It is a free tour so people should be aware of the need to tip - this was explained before we started.
We have had the greatest time in Madrid and Javier’s tour is the highlight of our time here. My kids and I were impressed with all his knowledge but also his ability to connect and share his passion for his country’s history. Most wonderful energy! Javier also shared tips and recommendations for the rest of our trip helping us to have a great time in beautiful Spain. We highly recommend Javier. My boys became more interested in history after his tour and started investigating online about certain historical events he mentioned during the tour. Thank you Javier for the gift of curiosity in my boys! I am very grateful for you!
Perfect tour to start with exploring Madrid, great guide Javier, interesting storyteller…
Amazing tour! Everything was well organized, the atmosphere was fantastic, and we learned so much about Madrid. Javier is an outstanding guide—friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and passionate about the city. He made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour!
Wow- what a fantastic tour! Javier was outstanding, from the moment he contacted us personally the day before to ensure we knew how to find meeting spot, to the tour itself, where he brought the history of Madrid to life. His unique and delightful presentation appealed to all group members, young and old and in between! Provided us all with a fabulous list of tips for Madrid food, flamenco, etc afterwards too. Probably the best tour we have been on ( and we have been on many!).
If you have the chance to take a tour with Javier, do it. He is, without a doubt, the best tour guide I’ve ever had. His motto is to make history fun, and he absolutely delivers. Instead of overwhelming you with dates and facts, he tells stories in a way that makes everything click. I wasn’t just listening. I was actually remembering what he taught us, which is incredibly rare. What I loved most was how he sparked my curiosity. After the tour, I found myself searching for the people and events he talked about because I genuinely wanted to learn more. That’s the sign of an amazing teacher. I’ve traveled a lot and usually take photos of landmarks and later ask ChatGPT to explain their history. But Javier shared fascinating local stories, little known details, and cultural insights that I would never have discovered on my own. Those are the things that truly bring a place to life. He was entertaining, passionate, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. If you think history tours are boring, Javier will completely change your mind. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
