Top experience with our guide Manuel. Because there were only 2, we did a bike tour outside the traditional highlights of Madrid. He asked us in advance what we had already seen and tailored the tour to our wishes where we saw a lot of places that we would otherwise never have seen (including Matadero, Templo de Debod, trip along the river, ...). Manuel has a wide historical background, could give a detailed explanation of all the sights and place everything within the broad historical context. Knows Madrid very well and was able to let us cycle safely from one side to the other in Madrid via quiet paths. Also thank you to Tim bikes, that even though we were only 2, the tour did not cancel. The bikes were of good quality and had 8 gears, enough to take the slopes in the city.
I took this tour with my two adult children and we had a great time. We had a small group so it was very easy to navigate around Madrid and learn about the city and history from our excellent guide, Manu. The tapas and tinto de verano (have this over sangria, I think I drank a gallon or two while I was in Madrid!) were delicious and the tour was a perfect amount of time to see historic parts of Madrid, and then go explore on our own for the rest of the trip. Thanks, Manu, for providing great recommendations both in Madrid and later when we went to Portugal! I neglected to pick the ebike option while the rest of the tour had them. It really wasn't too much work to pedal and Manu was very gracious to give swap his ebike for my daughter's pedal bike, but there enough small hills that I'd probably do an ebike in the future. I love doing city bike tours and this one is great.
We think it was the perfect way to discover Madrid. Surprisingly good with electric bikes. Knowledgeable and interested guide.
Our tour guide was great. We loved seeing the best parts of Madrid while learning some of the history. The electric bikes made it easy to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time and discover new places to return to later in the day on our own.
You should definitely be in decent shape for this it’s a good workout. The heat of the summer can make it a little challenging. The tour itself was great and we learned and saw a lot. The only thing at the end I didn’t like was the tapas part, it was a little weird. The owner just walked us to a restaurant down the street and left us there. He said that we could spend more money instead of refunding me for deducting the electric bikes (my kid was unable to use due to his size). It’s not really what I wanted because there was only two of us and I was too hot to argue. I think we could have done just fine without the tapas..
Great guide, really nice pace, informative and fun
Such a great way to see the city and our guide was wonderful and so knowledgeable. We had great fun and learned so much about Spain.
Excellent! Very informative and a great vibe! It was great to bike the city and learn about the history. Highly recommend!
The bike tour was a really good way of orienting ourselves to Madrid, giving a sense of how the different areas fit together. Our guide Manu was friendly and knowledgeable and kept us all safe. We saw many interesting buildings and landmarks and spent time in Retiro park. We had electric bikes which made the hills very easy, and had tapas in a nice local restaurant afterwards. Highly recommended.
Such a great way to see Madrid. Myself and 3 friends rented the E bikes. I would highly recommend. Our tour guide Julio was so informative and helpful.
