On this six-hour tour you can tailor an itinerary with the help of your local guide/driver. You can choose the different areas you want to visit. The City of Funchal, the Fishing Village of Câmara de Lobos, the west sea cliffs of Cabo Girão, the unique Fajã dos Padres, the hill side village of Monte, the east coast cliffs of Garajau, the Botanical Garden, or even the breathtaking mountain views of Nuns Valley are all possible options for your tour itinerary. Whatever your choice of itinerary, your guide will be there to help you at every moment.

Itinerary
You can choose to visit Funchal city, learn about its history, visit some of its iconic landmarks and areas, like the XV century Old Town, the Sé Cathedral, its famous “Mercado dos Lavradores” (farmer’s market) or “Fortaleza do Pico”. Your guide/driver will also take throughout the back streets to places that only a true local knows.
The lush hill side village of Monte at 550 meters above sea level, has lovely gardens, fantastic views and its where the famous “Taboggan Ride” is found.
The east cliffs of Garajau can also provide excellent views over the Atlantic Ocean and the city of Funchal. On the way up the first stop will be at Pináculo, 280m above sea level and located on the edge of a cliff. Travel on through to Garajau, set at the east end of the bay of Funchal. You will be offered a spectacular view of the "Christ the Redeemer" statue (older than the one in Brazil), whilst marveling at the crystal-clear waters below.
The e fishing village of Câmara de Lobos is famous for its picturesque looks, with colorful fishing boats in the dry dock right in the center of the village, a small bay and steep hills crowded with small old buildings. Its unique beauty was immortalized in one of Winston Churchill´s painting. Once in the village you will have the opportunity to explore it and learn about its history, culture and try some of the local delicacies.
After your visit to the fishing village you can head up the hills to the top of Cabo Girão cliff where, at its highest point, 580 meters above sea level, a glass sky-walk will provide some breathtaking views over the south east coast and beach below.
The Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in Madeira Island, with marvelous views overlooking the city of Funchal.

We took the Tuk Tuk tour in Madeira and it was fantastic. It’s a great way to see the highlights of the city and learn about its history. John was our guide and did an outstanding job. He was so knowledgeable and friendly and fun. And I had injured my knee and he helped me in and out of the Tuk. We were never rushed so we had long stops to make sure we saw everything. Also took us to a bakery that makes this wonderful dessert. Can’t remember the name but this place makes the original. I would definitely ask for John if I was going on the tour

Our tuk tuk tour in Funchal was one of the highlights of our trip! Domilia was without doubt our perfect guide—she was entertaining, kind and incredibly informative. This was a great way to tour around Funchal area on a beautiful sunny day. Our driver/guide John was really good and helped us get a feel for the area. We felt safe & everything went well capping off the tour by dropping us at the vintage room for a Madeira tasting. Great day!

We had a wonderful trip with Margarida on our tuk-tuk tour. We were unfortunately delayed with our ship arrival, but the company was very accommodating and waited for us until we were able to get off. Margarida was a fabulous tour guide. She listened to our interests and tailored the tour perfectly. And she took great photos of us. Our first stop was up the hill to the toboggan. She gave us great instructions, and when we were finished was there to pick us up. We then covered much of the downtown area and some of the newer developments while she took us up to some incredible vistas and then down into a lovely fishing village. We also visited the glass-bottom viewpoint, some beautiful caves, and she even took us to a winery so we could try the famous Madeira wine. We had a lovely day with her and appreciated her knowledge, experience and sense of humour. It was a great introduction to Madeira and encouraged us to return at another time.

Our guide, Daniella was bubbly, funny, knowledgeable and a great deal of fun. We saw places thst buses cannot get to. I asked to taste local pastries abd if course some Madiera, she stopped at places she knew were not touristy which was great. Brilliant tour, highly recommend and ask for Daniella 😄
