Machu Picchu

We had booked the tour with another company and they canceled it on us 2 days before. Luckily we contacted treppid and they got us tickets and a guide for the same day we had previously booked. Our guide Manuel made the tour very entertaining for us. We are very grateful to the agency and to our guide Manuel.

Good for last minute tickets

I left purchasing tickets until the last minute, so Viator became very handy, even though it costs a lot more. I was able to purchase a Circuit 2 for the 6am entrance and it all worked out fine. The ticket arrived electronically the day before as promised. You need to buy your own bus tickets, and I didn’t know until the day before that someone would meet me at the hotel and take me to the buses stop, which would have been nice to know before. If you have the chance to buy your tickets through the official site I would, however this is great if you can’t get them there. The tour itself was fine, not the best one I’ve been on, and certainly not the worst. Overall, a very good experience.

AMAZING!! Words can’t...

AMAZING!! Words can’t describe the experience. Initially we wanted circuit 2, but circuit 3 gave us EVERYTHING. We got an aerial view and got to actually walk through ruins of Machu Picchu. I recommend everyone go and see this! FYI these tickets didn’t have a guide but we honestly didn’t need it or the bus ticket up the mountain, but we bought our ticket the morning of and despite the crazy long line we got on and up the mountain well before our arrival time.

Machu Picchu tickets with guide

Our day was perfect! The weather was warm, the sky was blue and our guide William was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond walking us to a great restaurant when we returned. The communication the day before was also very good and before we met up. 10/10 from the 3 of us!

Treppid Travels SAVED my Machu Picchu trip!

Treppid Travels saved my Machu Picchu trip. Before booking with them, I had booked Machu Picchu tickets with a different tour agency on Viator months in advance, but just a couple weeks before my trip, the actual tour company contacted me saying they didn’t have the ticket even though I already paid. They then led me on for the next couple weeks with empty promises saying things that didn’t make sense. Many other people I met in Machu Picchu had the same experience buying Machu Picchu tickets on Viator so buyer beware. In a last ditch effort, I booked a Machu Picchu ticket with Treppid Travels on Booking.com a day before my travel to Machu Picchu. Not only were they able to get this last minute ticket (3B), but I reached out to them to get more information about how to get an additional ticket in person at the Ministry of Culture in Aguas Calientes. The information they gave me in one conversation was better than weeks of nonsense the other tour company fed me. Treppid was very honest where the other company was clearly trying to rip me off. Based on the additional info Treppid gave me, I was able to get the exact circuit (3A) I wanted with hike up Huyana Picchu in addition to the ticket I had already purchased online. As a result, I was able to experience two incredible days in Machu Picchu!

Machu Picchu — An Unforgettable Experience

We recently visited Machu Picchu and it was absolutely wonderful. The weather wasn’t on our side that day, but luckily it cleared up for a few minutes, which gave us some great views of the site. Our guide, Lizandro, was lovely and had a lot of patience with us. He shared fascinating stories about the history of Machu Picchu and pointed out the best photo spots along the way. A big shoutout also to Samuel, who was amazing! He helped us down in Aguas Calientes with the transport from our hotel to the bus, which made everything so smooth and stress-free. Machu Picchu itself is a 20/10 experience. My one tip: if you’re planning to visit Machu Picchu more than once, I highly recommend having a guide for at least one of the tours — it really brings the place to life.
