Itinerary
Cross the covered wooden footbridge spanning the river Reuss diagonally in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel. One of the most known sight in Switzerland.
Visit the first bridge that was constructed in the 13th century to connect the Mühlenplatz on the right bank of the Reuss river with the mills in the middle of the river
With 1500 m2, the Mühlenplatz is the largest historic square in the city of Lucerne. The individual terraced houses are almost all typical urban wooden buildings, as have also been found in other Lucerne excavations.
In the heart of Lucerne's old town, in a beautiful location on Rathausquai directly on the Reuss, is the listed town hall. It is one of the most beautiful Renaissance houses in Switzerland and has a high status.
Inside and out, the historical hotel reveals itself in all its splendour. The famous facade murals are among the most photographed motifs in Lucerne. Viewed from the Reuss, the hotel calls to mind a Venetian palace. Today, the Hotel des Balances offers a balance of historical fabric and contemporary design
The Schweizerhofquai and Schwanenplatz is the quay section between the Schwanenplatz and the Kurplatz in the city of Lucerne. It lies on the right bank of Lake Lucerne. It's one of the most visited places in Luzern.
The Church of St. Leodegar is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. It was built in parts from 1633 to 1639 on the foundation of the Roman basilica which had burnt in 1633.
The Lion Monument is a rock relief. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution,
The KKL Luzern is a venue for concerts, congresses, meetings, conferences, panel discussions and events in the middle of the city. An architecturally exciting building and the place where you board the lake boat.
Spend one hour on the Lake Lucerne. A scenic roundtrip in the bay of Lucerne will take place.

An exclusive guide, attentive, kind and with great knowledge of the place. All with a personal touch. I take you to know the points of interest of the city as well as a walk through the lake and its wonderful landscapes.
Perfect experience, saw a lot of the Lucerne and learned a lot about its rich history, pretty much every step of the way. For our family (w/ two youngish kids) it was the right amount of duration, walking, information, without it ever feeling or becoming exhausting. Highly recommend.
All walking but our guide Ueli was wonderful and made this start to our trip very memorable. He gives you a great start to what and where to go.
all walking is an usual thing on a walking tour - we do tours in the Swiss way... but anyway, than you for sharing your feedback
Relaxed and informative tour of the old town, nice lunch buffet at the Globus department store. Abraham even stayed with us for the full trip around the lake. He is an informed and experienced native of the region.
Thank you for your review and happy you had a great time.
great experience by walking through old town. Tourguide was really nice and we got a lot lovely stories from actual time. boat ride for one hour was stunning with views to the city and the mountains. loved it.
Thank you for your feedback.
took another tour with the same company and it was really great to have a local with us. good mix between history and actual issues in this touristic city. to get an overview of Lucern, can recommend this company
thank you for your feedback and happy you enjoyed your 2nd tour with us too
The walking tour was informative and relaxed, with just the right amount of history and fun facts. Our guide Rudy is from Lucerne, was super friendly and made everyone feel welcome. The lake cruise at the end was a beautiful, peaceful finish, even we were on the shuttle boat as the panoramic boat does not yet operate.
Thank you for your feedback and happy you enjoyed our tour.
Had a great day with our tour guide, however it was a little hard to find them as the instructions are clear enough where to meet and the guide was wearing nothing to indicate they were the guide, we had to take a guess and approach random people! Knowledgable day and great boat tour
If you prefer to walk behind someone with a flag and everybody recognizes that you are tourist - then we will exchange our system and make us more visible.
Our guide was not local, but arrived by train from Zurich. We walked around the city with one other couple. Our guide knew when the churches were built/burned down/rebuilt, but not much else. We learned about the Lion of Lucerne, grabbed a sandwich. Because we waited in the shade for the boat trip, we missed the chance for seats with a good view. A total waste of $200!
Here you find the review from the other couple: "Uli was awesome! We enjoyed his friendly nature and his stories. His descriptions of the places we saw and the history behind them was very interesting!" no more comment.
Martin was our guide and was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was great getting a view of the city from a local perspective. He was able to explain what we saw and give us the history and cultural background. Really enjoyed our time with him.
Thank you for the feedback - Martin got it already. Kind regards
