Luxury Private Day Trip to Ourika Valley

We had a truly amazing experience with our guide Hamid. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us some wonderful insights into Berber life. If you are looking for a tour in the Atlas mountains, look no further!

The host Elhoussain communicated and answered all the questions I had before the tour. The drive to Imlil on the SUV was a comfortable one and the driver was very supportive on photo-stop requests. At Imlil, I met my guide Hamid, who is the brother of Elhoussain. He was very friendly, knowledgeable on the surroundings and the village life, and hence easily became the best guide I met in Morocco. The first half of the journey had a relatively high gradient, but it was manageable. The trail passed through a couple of waterfalls and a forest area before reaching Aromoud. We reached Aromoud in around 45 minutes, which was a bit too early for lunch. Hence Hamid extended the hike to get some better views into the mountains by fulfilling my request. The lunch was fresh & tasty and abided by my request to have vegetarian food. After enjoying a panoramic view of the valley, we returned to Imlil around 2.30 PM, where the driver picked me up. The return journey to Marrakech was through the Agafay desert. This tour is ideal for those who want to enjoy the views of Atlas mountains and get a taste of the village lifestyle in High Atlas.

Would totally recommend Ibri and his excursion! Was such a fun-filled day, we packed so much in for excellent value too. We got to see argan oil being made with a traditional breakfast of bread and honey, followed by a hike in the Atlas Mountains where we were warmly invited to have lunch at our hosts house. Ibri and his family were so kind and welcoming into their family home. We then hiked down the mountain to a picturesque waterfall before continuing onto the Agafay dessert. Here we rode camels in traditional Berber attire and drank tea. It was a pleasure to have Ibri as our tour guide; he was very polite, and knowledgeable, and made the day so fantastic and we would go with Ibri again and again. Honestly, such a brilliant experience can't recommend Ibri enough!

Without hyperbole, this is the best excursion I have ever been on. Our guide was absolutely fantastic—friendly and knowledgeable. The day was flawlessly planned and executed. The hike was the right amount of challenge, and our guide tailored the pace to our comfort as needed. Riding camels was a fun “touristy” thing to do and the person tending the animals took lots of pictures. The ride to and from locations was comfortable. Highly recommend.

This tour was exactly what we had wanted for our visit to Marrakech. There were only 10 of us in our group and we all had a wonderful time. The operation is family run and you get a real sense for that “family welcome” when you get to eat lunch at their house (which was super tasty too)! The value of the trip was incredible. We couldn’t believe we got a guide as great as Hamid along with a full hiking tour, transportation, lunches, and a camel ride for the given rate. We wouldn’t think twice about doing it again even if the rates were double!

Ibri is by far the best tour guide we’ve ever had. Very kind and authentic. He knows his stuff and just pure knowledge about his culture and his people. He’s very accommodating, well spoken and lively. The hike was made easy for non hikers like myself and Carla, his sister cooks a banging Tagine and his place up the mountains is very welcoming and beautiful. 10/10 would recommend. Full experience was incredible.

We were 5 friends and made 3 excursions (the Ourika Valley, the Ouarzazate Atlas). 3 wonderful excursions that we recommend to everyone. The very pleasant driver who stops wherever he is asked, very careful driving. Thank you to the guide for his availability and kindness, for his knowledge of his country. We ate excellent meals with his family and locals. We really recommend Atlas Dream, in fact we have made an appointment for next year to do the Sahara

We went on this trip months ago and completely forgot to rate it!! This was our favorite tour by far. Camel rides in the desert, hikes in the Imlil valley, and having lunch with his mom and neighbor made for the perfect day in Morocco. The guides were so kind and we’d definitely do this tour again if we find ourselves in Marrakech again!

Superb local guide, he really knows his subject and it is very nice to talk with him. For our part, day trip to and from Marrakech towards the valley of Aït Mizane, little walk of 1 hour then Lunch break at his mother's house in Aremd then towards the desert Agafay. Very nice day and very nice meeting.
