Your Private Marrakech Desert Trip 2 Days to Erg Chigaga will start at 7:30 am from your accommodation Riad / Hotel in Marrakech, we drive south toward the High Atlas Mountains. We would absolutely make a stop within an hour, but in a beautiful panoramic view over the Berber villages and the valley. We continue driving through the mountains to reach the highest pass-road in Africa called Tizi-N Tichka with an altitude of 2260 m / 7500 Ft. We would definitely stop for the pictures opportunities. We will reach the Berber village of Tazenakht, the Lifetime adventure continues to reach Foum-Zguid, the last village before going off-road. Stop for lunch. We will drive through different terrain, rocky desert, sand dunes, and oasis. Stopping at Iriqui Lake in the middle of nowhere. We will be in Erg Chigagga before sunset. Your camels will be ready at the dunes to start your trekking. Dinner, campfire, Nomads entertainment, and overnight in Berber tent at the Nomadic Desert Camp
Wake up early this morning to assist the sunrise from the top of the sand dunes; a beautiful sun & sand contrast that should not be missed. Breakfast will be down at the Desert camp. We start driving off-road direction Mhamid village. We are back to the tarmac road. You will visit Zagora on the way then driving via Draa valley and Low Atlas Mountains. Lunch will be in Ait Benhaddou then a visit to the famous Kasbah. Later, We drive back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains. We stop for the pictures, then arrive at Marrakech around 6 pm. Your 2 day from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga Desert tour ends at your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech.

What a fantastic experience this was! Everything was perfectly arranged from start to finish. Before heading out into the desert, we could first relax at the owner of the travel agency in their beautiful hotel with swimming pool. That was a really nice start to the adventure. Then we left with a great guide towards the desert. Upon arrival at the camp we were warmly welcomed with traditional tea, which immediately created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We went duneboarding, reached the top of the dunes together with the camels and took beautiful pictures. The view and surroundings were really breathtaking, great pictures everywhere. Also the food was super catered for. We were served a delicious buffet and everything tasted excellent. In the evening it became even more special with a cozy campfire around which everyone sat together. There was dancing, singing and the authentic inhabitants made live music, which made the atmosphere truly unforgettable. We enjoyed and danced together until about eleven o'clock before we went to sleep. The next morning we made a nice walk through the desert before driving back. This was a truly unique and fantastic experience that we will never forget. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for adventure, hospitality and a special memory!

We had an excellent trip from Zagora to Erg Chigaga. Our driver Mohammed did an excellent job and provided an entertaining 4WD trip to the camp. There we boarded our camel for a short trip to the huge sand dunes. Climbing those is an ordeal. After sunset we headed back to the camp for a wonderful diner. After the campfire and some singing it was time to go to sleep. It was very quiet, until a sandstorm started during the night. Sand everywhere. In the morning we started with a huge breakfast and after that we headed back to Zagora. Younes, from Caravan du Grand Erg, discussed the route that we could take from Gorges du Todra to Midelt. It turned out to be a most beatifull route. On the way back we stopped at Tamegroute to visit the Library and the pottery.

Our tour to erg chegaga was amazing! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. Younes was a wonderful guide and made the trip very memorable for us.
