Lunch in The Luxury Camp in the Great Agafay Desert

Description
27 miles from Marrakech, Agafay desert is a wonderful mineral desert with an exceptional micro climate, halfway between the mountains of the Atlas and the great plains of the Pearl of the South, and offers breathtaking landscapes. The weather changes very quickly here in Agafay and throughout the day colours, contrasts and atmospheres shift and swirl as if a master painter were at work. No sand dunes here, but soft rolling hills of pebble, stone and rock, although as you follow the tracks and hills of the Agafay desert you will feel the soul of the Sahara in this immersion into authentic nomad experience.

They are selling an image of lunch on lovely cushions with local musicians and lovely red carpets. We got tanken to a basic restsurant and they fortunately didnt have a ''ticket" from the tour operator so we had to leave. We were then taken down the road to another resort and again it was just a restaurant but this time by their pool with people sitting in bathers. I asked where the cushions and tbe carpetd and the local musicians where and they said they didnt do that. So we refused to stay and asked to be taken back to the hotel. This is a disgrace, and you do not get the experience you paid for S o for us we paid $500 AUD to drive around nowhere for 4 hours. Do not buy this.
Dear Value Guest Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m truly sorry for the disappointment you experienced during your excursion. This is not the standard we aim to provide. I understand you expected the lunch setup shown in our promotional image with the cushions, carpets, and live musicians, and instead were taken to two different restaurants that did not match that description. The fact that you had to leave and spend several hours being driven around is unacceptable, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and for the time you lost. *What happened*: The first venue was unable to accommodate our group as they did not receive the booking voucher from our system. Our driver then redirected you to an alternative restaurant to ensure you still had a meal option, but this was clearly not the advertised experience. The images we use reflect our premium “Berber camp” lunch option, which is only available at select partner locations. It should never be presented as the default for all tours. *What we’re doing*: We have already addressed this with our local operations team to ensure the correct venue is confirmed before departure and that our marketing images accurately reflect what is included. We have also retrained our staff on communication and on not offering alternatives without clear guest approval. Again, we regret that we did not meet your expectations and appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can improve. Isabella
