A wonderful meander through downtown Camden to visit the many (and often changing) wall murals an assortment of international artists have created in recent months. We also strolled through a section teeming with sculpturally decorated shops, spent time at the Camden Locks, and finished our outing with a tour of the famed Camden Market. Guide Simone was impressive not just for her knowledge of Camden and its art, but also for her ability to speak 4+ languages, (including Deutsch, which was a real boon to the German couple on our tour). She also provided us with a lot of helpful follow-up suggestions for other activities & restaurants in the area. Highly recommend!
Fabulous tour, something for the whole family . The host was exceptional and her vast knowledge of the local culture coupled with her passion for the art work made the experience truly memorable.
Unlike other tours I have taken in other cities, this one was very unique in that it focus more of the impressive street art of Camden. Simone is very knowledgeable about the art, but also the artists and the history of Camden which is incorporated well during the tour. The tour of Camden Market was also a great introduction to all that it has to offer, and we have returned there a few times during our stay armed with the information that Simone provided.
I went on this tour with my niece for her birthday present, we had a brilliant time. Simone was amazing and very knowledgeble, she showed us the sights of Camden and lots of street art. I would hightly recommend this tour it was great value.
Camden town is amazing. Our guide is so knowledgeable, not just about Amy, but English history in general. The market is brilliant, there’s something for everyone in that town. It is well worth seeing. I went to accompany my daughter but enjoyed it more than I imagined I would. It reminded me of the east village in nyc circa 1980’s. All of the food stalls looked so good we couldn’t decide. We ended up choosing Thai, which was slightly too salty but it was alright. I never knew how artistic Camden was, had I, this is a trip I would’ve made earlier in my youth. But this timing was great, to see my daughter light up when seeing the art and hearing all about the town and Amy and her life there. I can’t stress enough how great this tour is
Thanks Simone for a lovely tour of an area you know so well. It’s so rewarding to get to know Camden in this way, doing things so much more efficiently than aimlessly wandering!
Simone did a lovely job and was very attentive. She showed us the little tricks to move out of the super congested areas and of course showed us all the street art
I booked the 8.30am tour to explore Camden in the morning before it got too busy. Simone is a great tour guide and she is very knowledgeable about the local area and the ever changing artwork found in the surrounding streets. Doing the early tour allows you to see the artwork in relatively quite streets and appreciate the historical aspects of the market more than if it was busy and open. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in street art or who wants to know more about the area.
Simone is a wonderful and personable guide. We felt like we had a friend showing us her neighborhood. Everything from Amy Winehouse to the weather to the price of real estate came up for conversation. And we got history and geography and fashion as well. Highly recommended!
