The show was incredible ten out of 10 the cast were sensational definitely will go again
Brilliant theater and a fabulous show. Drinks bar at the interval was really easy, and order your drinks on arrival to the theater. Bistro restaurant opposite the theater was nice and would recommend for any early arrivals.
You will not be disappointed, can not recommend highly enough, what a show !!!!!! Sean & Allison
I wanted to see Oliver! Instead and very disappointingly I had to watch the Simon Lipkin Show. He totally ruined the production for me. Whenever he felt like it he came out of script and cracked whatever joke he wanted. He dragged out whatever he could to get cheap laughs all night and in short he totally ruined the character, throwing the real “Fagin”, totally under the bus for the sake of his own ego. I can’t actually believe that the creatives are letting him do this to be honest. I appreciate this is just my opinion and for the most part it sadly appeared that most were getting sucked in by his “pantomime”. So yes many are loving it but not me I’m afraid. I felt vert saddened that he feels it’s OK to do this to such a fantastic story with such vivid characters. The talent oozes off the stage, the kids are ace and for me it was all overshadowed by a man with a misplaced ego in this occasion.
The show was amazing . All the cast faultless. Facing was outstanding. One of our group was in a wheelchair and Oz was very helpful and we really appreciated that
I act in Belgium myself and teach drama to children, so I often go to theatre and know how difficult it is to make a production with children. Tonight, I may have seen the most impressive performance ever. Everything checked out. The scenery was fantastic and the actors really brought the story to life. The music and vocals were also magnificent. I laughed and cried. Bravo, bravo, bravo!
We’re not really big musical fans, but decided to give this one a go as we knew the story and the songs from the film. Wow! It was absolutely brilliant. We loved it. For such a small stage, the set and the way it was constantly changing was just so impressive. Simon Lipkin as Fagin was outstanding as was Ava Brennan as Nancy but everyone in the cast was just so good - especially as many of them are so young. We left the theatre on a real high, and who knows, we might go to another musical after such a great experience!
Unbelievable show, outstanding performances from all the cast but exceptional from Fagin (Simon Lipkin) who was so funny. The singing and dancing was superb by all the cast. We sat in the dress circle row D and it was a perfect view. All the staff were great. Clean toilets, short queue for the bar. Thank you all for an amazing evening.
So glad we had the opportunity to see this production of Oliver! The energy was infectious, the acting and singing were phenomenal, the set was brilliant. The show we saw had Simon Lipkin as Fagan and Ava Brennan as Nancy....FANTASTIC! Special mention to the wonderful Oliver, Isaac Hackett -amazing. It was very funny, sad at times, and Sykes was as scary as he could be.. really enjoyed this show.
From the moment the ragged orphans march into the dining hall, the energy is infectious. The production manages to balance the gritty, "Sikes-and-Nancy" darkness of Dickens’ world with the sheer, unadulterated charm of Bart’s legendary score. • Fagin: A true masterclass in character acting. This iteration brings a perfect blend of comedic mischief and a subtle, tragic desperation that makes "Reviewing the Situation" the undisputed highlight of the night. • Nancy: Her rendition of "As Long As He Needs Me" is a gut-punch. It’s raw, powerful, and reminds the audience why this character remains the tragic soul of the story. • The Artful Dodger: Brimming with swagger and effortless charisma, leading "Consider Yourself" with enough spirit to lift the roof off the theatre. Visuals and Atmosphere The staging is a triumph of industrial design. Using clever levels and atmospheric lighting, the set transitions seamlessly from the cold, intimidating workhouse to the bustling, crowded markets of London. The choreography is equally breathtaking—sharp, athletic, and expansive. When the full ensemble hits the stage for "Who Will Buy?", the harmony and scale are enough to give you goosebumps.
