Itinerary
The tour will start at London Eye, Belvedere Road, Tourist bus stop number 77, London, SE1 7GH (nearest tube station is Waterloo, 2 minute walk) where you will board an open top bus tour to see some of London’s most famous sights as dusk falls.
Buckingham Palace, the grand and iconic London residence of Her Majesty the Queen is an absolute must-see on any visit to London. A fully working royal palace, housing not only The Queen, but serving as the administrative headquarters of the Royal Household.
The Tower of London, founded by William the Conqueror in 1066-7, is one of the world’s most famous fortresses yet despite its grim reputation as a place of torture and death, there are so many more stories to be told. The ancient stones reverberate with dark secrets, priceless jewels glint in fortified vaults and ravens strut the grounds.
An essential addition to any visit to London and set in the heart of the city, Westminster Abbey is legendary and iconic. Boasting a rich history that spans over one thousand years, the site was originally occupied by Benedictine monks in the middle of the tenth century. The current gothic masterpiece has stood there for about 700 years. The imperious gothic master work is truly breathtaking and the intricate stained glass is some of the most beautiful in the UK.
Also known as the Millennium Wheel, London Eye is one of the largest Ferris wheel in Europe and one of the most popular attractions in the UK. The iconic London Eye offers breathtaking views of London from high above the River Thames.
The Elizabeth Tower, also known as “Big Ben“, dates from 1858 and had its 150th anniversary in 2009. It is one of the most iconic symbols of the UK and a must see attraction in London. Big Ben is famous in the world for its accuracy and for its massive bell.

Buses take ages, we had to wait 40-50 minutes in the scorching hot sun and this humid weather. The operator that sells the tickets is super pushy and doesn't let us talk about it without feeling rushed. He gave the illusion of an option, but it seemed like we had no choice but to buy. We weren't told that we had to bring headphones to listen to the tour, because the voice was super quiet in the speakers. The operator told us there was 15 minutes waiting time for each bus, but we had to wait way longer. This is not fun when I have a mother with issues walking/standing. The prices on the website seem way cheaper than it is in person too.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly with the wait times and the challenges of travelling in such hot and humid weather. We would like to clarify that complimentary headphones are provided on each bus for guests to enjoy the audio commentary during the tour. We apologise if this was not made clear at the time of boarding and for any difficulty you experienced with hearing the commentary. We also regret that the waiting times and the booking experience caused frustration, especially while travelling with your mother. We appreciate your comments and will share them with the relevant teams as we continue to improve our service. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your feedback.
Never on time Tour just stopped at a random location and we had to figure out how to get back. Connections are almost impossible. Basically if you don’t stay on your bus, all you’ll do is wait for a bus. The buses disappear from the app, so tracking them isn’t reliable either We basically feel a bit frustrated
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience felt frustrating. Our buses operate on a frequent service, typically every 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. After the stated last full loop time, services will not return to all stops as part of the normal route. Instead, each route will terminate at a designated final stop depending on the line. For example, the Red Route will conclude at King’s Cross before returning to depot for the night. We do our best to make this information clear in advance, but we appreciate that it can still feel confusing on the day. We’re also sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with connections and tracking — your comments have been shared with our operations team for review. Thank you again for your feedback and for your understanding.
Buy tickets on line. Agents on the streets will charge double and won’t disclose info about on line prices. Buses don’t cruise that often. Some you have to wait for 30min. Some info about events and places to meet not accurate.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that parts of your experience did not meet expectations. Prices may vary depending on when and where tickets are purchased. However, we offer a price match guarantee so customers can book with confidence knowing they will always receive the best available price. If you have found a better price elsewhere, please email us with proof at customerservices@goldentours.com and we will be happy to refund the difference. Our advertised bus frequency is every 20–30 minutes; however, this can occasionally be affected by traffic or operational conditions. We are also sorry to hear your comments regarding the accuracy of some information provided, and we have shared this with our operations team for review. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for a smoother experience in the future.
This was a great way to see all the highlights of London without walking. We made sure to catch the bus at the London Eye at the top of the hour. Those buses have a live guide. It was SUCH a great tour. Our guide, Emma, was absolutely delightful. She was so knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. You can get off and on as you wish; but we opted to stay on for the entire 2+ hours.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that your first visit to London was such an enjoyable experience and that the tour was a great way to see the city's highlights. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another London adventure soon!

Time was short in London so we booked a 1 day ticket with boat tour. It was excellence all the way around: great routes and fabulous photo ops, capturing the essence of London. Having a live tour guide really made the blue loop over the top. Dominic’s stories and wit always told the story within the history. Funny and informative at the same time. They only lose a point for not telling us the red route was ending rather than just coming to a full stop with no more buses coming and being left at Kings Cross, quite aways from where we started at the London Eye. Being it was late afternoon, we should have asked when and where the bus tours ended before boarding. Don’t get stuck like we did!
Thank you for your detailed review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your London Panoramic Open Top Bus Tour and boat experience, and that Dominic’s stories and humour helped bring the history of the city to life. It is great to know you were able to capture so many fantastic views and photo opportunities during your visit. We are sorry for the confusion regarding the end of the red route service and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve communication for future guests. We will make sure this is shared with the team. We hope to welcome you back to London again soon for another great experience!
