So interesting! Lauren did a great job. Great to discover the catholic history behind some beautiful churches and monasteries. Learned about some interesting saints along the way.
Lots of fascinating stories and sights you wouldn't normally see.
Lauren is a wealth of knowledge. She has a passion for the subject and it shows. Learning about what happened to the Catholic population in England after Henry VIII's reign was fascinating on its own; but to be walking in the same courtyards and churches as the historical figures, saints and martyrs- made it all the more incredible. Highly recommend the experience.
Lauren worked with me to create a private tour at a very fair rate that better fit my schedule. She takes you to some of the best churches in London that are so underrated and not represented properly in guidebooks. You don't have to be Catholic to take her tour, as I am not, and found her very fair-minded and knowledgable about both Protestant and Catholic history. Such an enjoyable tour! I would recommend highly for everyone!
This was an enlightening 2 hour walking tour from the Charterhouse, near the Barbican tube station, to St. Paul's Cathedral, on a cool, crisp Autumn morning. There were several stops along the way, where Lauren passionately shared the stories of the Christian inhabitants of Medieval London: How they lived, worshiped and ultimately sacrificed there lives for their faith. Lauren was engaging and informative. She encouraged questions, which made it more like an interactive dialogue than a traditional lectured tour! The emphasis of this tour was the discussion of Medieval Martyrs, however, topics covered also included architecture and Civic procedure and would appeal to not only Catholics but to anyone interested in the History of Medieval London.
Absolutely wonderful tour - highly recommended! Informative, comprehensive, enlightening and enjoyable. I learnt things I otherwise never would have, and appreciate London and its Christian story in a whole new way.
Our walking tour with Lauren was one of the highlights of our trip to London! She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to share the important people and events of Church history in England in the most engaging way! Planning and communication was easy and friendly. This tour was a wonderful experience we will never forget. We highly, highly recommend!!
Lauren did an excellent job walking a church group and I all around the City of London as part of the Catholic History walking tour. From Borough Market to the 'Clink' to the Southwark Cathedral, she was extremely informative yet welcoming. I also appreciated that she let us explore and wander some of the more unique spots like the Cathedral and Saint Mary's parish. It allowed for the right balance wihtout being too long-winded. I think it's a great way to see a different side of London as a Catholic!
The walking tour was a pleasant and informative experience. I learnt a lot about the churches, architecture and also some random cool facts about London itself! Lauren was a great tour guide with a depth of knowledge of Catholic history.
Incredible tour of central london, discovering hidden Catholic history gems. Lauren really took the time on every site to give detailed explanations and answer our questions. Couldn’t recommend enough !!
