Excellent guide! Great tour and very pleasant! A great but brief sample of much content to learn the basics of London
Many thanks Alex, glad you enjoyed it!
I am SO glad I booked the intro tour with ATO! It was incredible. I was staying at Strand Palace, so I was in the middle of many things, but since it was my first time in London, I had no clue where to start. My guide, Peter, was amazing about helping me get my bearings and figure out where I was in relation to everything. He told me lots of cool information that isn’t in a tourist’s guide, and really customized my tour to my benefit. It was the perfect start to what was my “trip-of-a-lifetime.” I felt really confident walking around after that. (He was even nice enough to take photos of me with some landmarks since I was traveling alone!) He also made sure that I knew little tips for the tube, good pubs, and more than that, answered a million little questions to help me feel less like a tourist. Highly recommend!!
Many thanks Kandace, looking forward to walking with you again. It was great fun.
Peter was an exceptional tour guide. He balanced the go to sites in london with some interesting hiden gems along the way. He’s very knowledgeable on everything that is london. In fact we are going back soon and Peter is the first person i’m calling.
Many thanks for your kind words and looking forward to meeting you again. Peter
Excellent walking tour starting with Buckingham Palace. Peter, our guide provided historical contexts, royal protocols, and highlighted historical points of interest that focused on British history. He also helped us find good photo opportunities and food services. We especially enjoyed our stop at the Borough Market for a bite to eat. Peter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to our personal needs, interests and timelines.
Thanks a lot Tom, and come back soon. Peter
Enjoyed the tour so much! The tour Peter was awesome and very Informative! He also made sure I got back safely on the tube! He went above and beyond to make sure my tour was perfect! Highly recommend.
Thanks a lot Latonya, it was nice to have meet and walk with you too.
Our guide, Mark, was very enjoyable and an exceptional guide! Perfect tour to get a thorough overview of the highlights of the City!
Thanks Charlene! We are looking forward to walking with you two again.
Great tour Peter was wonderful showing us around all the areas of London. He showed us all the main points of interest along with areas we wouldn't have even known about. He was easy to talk to and answered all our questions.
Thanks Lisa, it was a pleasure meeting and walking with you. Hope to see again soon.
Unfortunately the worst and most expensive walking tour I have ever taken. We have taken MANY history tours through viator. I would truly like a refund. First the tour guide was behind the Canada gate the meeting point with NO IDENTIFIABLE clothing or flag. We had to call the company. The tour was suppose to be 4 hours. He told us right away it would be 3-4 hours. We basically walked around London with MINIMAL history shared. My husband is a history buff and this was extremely disappointing. I could have browsed the city and googled the landmarks. We always leave a tip. My husband was going to leave one anyway until I told him how much we paid for the tour. He was shocked and says no way will he leave a tip.
Dear Sharon, we thought you'd might leave a negative review when you asked for a pick up point in Milan, Italy. Our fears worsened when you send us a wrong mobile number. The latter might have been the reason the guide couldn't find you. Having the right number usually works better to facilitate the meet up rather than dressing the guide up as Micky Mouse. We almost knew that you would leave one when you asked where the guide was 5min before the start time. And it was a certain when you spilled your coffee all over. I hope this wasn't the guide's, who is a professional one working for the biggest operators out there, fault too. As for the content of the tour it might have been better if you'd booked a "Historical Walking Tour" instead of a "Intro Walk" to satisfy your needs and expectations. Not leaving a tip is perfectly fine. And as our guide had to put up with your questionable political views and remarks, I think we call it even.
Fantastic tour to get comfortable with London. Peter did a wonderful job mixing helpful tips about getting around London with historical information. Highly recommend!
Thanks a lot!
Had a great waking tour with Peter showing my adult son and I all of the sights around London. He was very knowledgeable and friendly but did not overload us with historical information. He also found us the perfect hotel for our budget in a great location and recommended some great restaurants. Highly recommend Peter and ATO Tours!
Thanks Mike and looking forward to walking with you again.
