Our first stop will be to the Clava cairns. Clava Cairns are a well-preserved Bronze Age cemetery complex of passage graves; ring cairns, kerb cairns and standing stones in a beautiful setting. We had a great experience from this trip, thanks to Alastair who has rich knowledge about the history of these places and, in general, about Scotland and UK. Thank Alastair and George as well for arranging the time effectively with great care.
Loved this tour and Roger was so informative and fun - not rushed - and the battlefield was very moving.
The most fantastic tour and tour guide we’ve ever had! George’s stories and knowledge of history made everything come alive.
Ask for George Murray, he was the best guide we had on our trip. He even took us to an extra stop. So very interesting.
Excellent tour guide, George, knowledgeable, humorous and very nice. We saw “Craig na Dun” and Culloden including the Fraser Clan stone, the battlefield, monument and the museum. We stopped to see some beautiful horses and toured Cawdor Castle which is beautiful. I recommend this highly! Go Highlander can be booked directly on their website.
Our guide, Sarah, was excellent! Her knowledge of the area was extensive, and she shared information in a way that was both engaging and informative. She was clearly passionate about the history and sights we visited, which made the experience even more enjoyable. My only criticism concerns the ticket pricing. Given the cost of the tour, I was a bit surprised to learn that admission to the castle and the battlefield museum required additional fees. In fairness, I may have overlooked the details when booking, but I had assumed the tour was all-inclusive except for lunch. It would be helpful if those extra costs were highlighted more prominently during the booking process so guests know exactly what to expect. Overall, Sarah did an outstanding job, and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Dress for every kind of weather as it can change quickly. There are lots of opportunities to learn about Highland culture which we really appreciated. Our guide George was a fantastic with so much valuable knowledge. He really made sure we had a great experience.
Fabulous guide Sarah did not disappoint! So knowledgeable and fun. Loved all of the Outlander tour, Culloden battlefield, Clara Cairns, Lock Ness, Cowder Castle and Gardens. Loved it all!
I cannot rave enough about our guide George! His knowledge was great and he made our experience top notch! It was a great experience and our whole group highly recommends this!
George was an exceptional guide, providing a narration of our trip, but especially the history to understand the area. He made wonderful suggestions about the itinerary. He was very informative, professional & made the day perfect.
