Your premium experience begins with a seamless pickup from your Vienna hotel. Meet your dedicated team (a professional driver and an expert guide). Relax in your spacious vehicle and enjoy the scenic drive crossing the border into Slovakia, heading straight into the lush landscapes of the Váh river valley.
Welcome to the domain of the "Lord of the River Váh and the Tatra Mountains"! Dominating the city from a massive rock, Trenčín Castle is one of the most spectacular medieval fortresses in Slovakia. We will explore its mighty towers, see the famous 2,000-year-old Roman inscription left by Emperor Marcus Aurelius's legions, and discover the romantic "Well of Love," carved into solid rock by a Turkish prince to save his beloved Fatima.
We journey south along the picturesque Little Carpathian Wine Route to the charming town of Modra, famous for its centuries-old winemaking traditions and beautiful handmade ceramics. Here, we will pause for a delightful local lunch (at your own expense), followed by a premium wine tasting session to discover the unique flavors of Slovak wines. (Wine tasting is fully included in your tour price. Sip and relax—your private driver will handle the roads!)
Our final highlight is the charming capital of Slovakia! We will stroll through the pedestrian-only historic center, a former Coronation City. Admire St. Martin's Cathedral, walk through the medieval Michael's Gate, take fun photos with quirky street statues like the "Man at Work" (Čumil), and soak up the vibrant, relaxed café culture before we head back.
After a fantastic day of medieval legends and great wine, sit back and relax. Your driver will safely navigate the short highway route back to Austria, dropping you off right at your Vienna hotel doorstep.

This was one of three tours that my 15-year-old son and I took with Cozy Travel while we stayed in Vienna. I scheduled the tours about six months in advance and was in constant contact with Jenny before the tours. Jenny happily answered any questions (which were a lot-LOL) I had over the six months and responded in perfect English. While her husband, Vladimer safely drove us to each location in their comfortable car, Jenny would provide background on the areas that we drove by (and would let us rest when needed!). Jenny also provided her vast expertise during the tours at the actual locations. My son and I felt safe with Jenny and Vlad, in addition to enjoying their expertise and companionship during the tours. This tour is perfect for getting a taste of Slovakia. The scenery on the way to Trencin is beautiful. The hike up to Trencin Castle provided great views (even in the excessively hot weather we experienced that day). Jenny provided great background on the castle- how it was built, what it was used for etc. The view of Trencin and the surrounding hills and valleys is magnificent from the top of the castle. After exploring the streets of Trencin, we headed to Pezinok for lunch and wine tasting. Pezinok is a charming and quaint town. Slovakian wine is also very good! After Pezinok, we headed to the lively Bratislava. In Bratislava, we explored the charming streets and squares and had time for a coffee and a Slovakian beer. It was a great tour.
