Itinerary
Perched on steep cliffs, Pointe du Hoc was a key strategic point of the D-Day. On June 6, 1944, the U.S. Rangers climbed these cliffs under enemy fire to neutralize a German battery threatening Omaha and Utah Beach. Today, this unspoilt site testifies to the violence of the fighting with its explosion craters, ruined bunkers and German firing posts. An immersive tour to relive one of the most heroic moments of the D-Day landings.
Omaha Beach is one of the most iconic sites on the D-Day, where American forces faced fierce resistance on June 6, 1944. Nicknamed "Bloody Omaha", this beach was the scene of intense fighting, with heavy losses during the assault on the German fortifications. Today, Omaha Beach is a must-see place to remember. Walking through this vast stretch of sand, you can imagine the courage of the soldiers who landed under heavy fire to liberate Europe. Nearby, the Colleville-sur-Mer American Cemetery pays tribute to the thousands of soldiers who fell that day. Between history and emotion, a visit to Omaha Beach is a landmark experience, essential to understanding the scale of the Allied landings.
Overlooking Omaha Beach, the Colleville-sur-Mer American Cemetery is a poignant memorial to the 9,387 American soldiers who fell during the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy. In a solemn and peaceful setting, the perfectly aligned white crosses, the chapel, and the wall of the disappeared recall the ultimate sacrifice of these men for freedom. A museum and an interactive exhibition provide a better understanding of the events of June 6, 1944. A moving and unmissable visit to honor the memory of the heroes of the D-Day.

Lise and Teddy were extremely accommodating throughout our entire day together. We were able to spend adequate time at each location. Lise clearly knew her facts, and provided more details whenever requested. We would highly recommend this excursion to any other interested parties. One detail, which was not at all Lise’s fault… my sister is somewhat hard of hearing at struggled at times to hear the commentary while the car was in motion. She would have benefited from some form of amplification… possibly a microphone for Lise. Overall, this was still a very professional experience.
Thank you so much for your kind review and for taking the time to share your experience with us. Lise and Teddy were delighted to spend the day with you and your family, and they were truly touched by your compliments regarding the excursion, the pacing of the visits, and the commentary throughout the day. A special thank you as well for mentioning the hearing difficulty in the vehicle while driving. We sincerely appreciate this valuable feedback and will certainly look into possible amplification solutions to make the experience even more comfortable for future guests. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again someday in Normandy! Ilyes - NORMANDY DAY
