Great experience of touring a tea plantation in nuwara eliya. The different stages of the tea leaves being picked to being sent out. Then we enjoyed the different tea tasting afterwards. The guide Akram who picked us up from the hotel was very informative and gave us lots of useful advice. He ensured we were looked after at the tea plantation.
Very nice tour for those who don't have much time to go far away from Nuwara Eliya. The guide Akram speaks very good English so it's nice to talk with him.
Our guide was very friendly and shared so much local knowledge. A very nice guy who we fully recommend
We are happy that Jetwing Tours chose Labookellie Tea Factory. Ms. Priya (tour guide of the factory) was extremely Knowledgeable of the factory process and was also fluent in English and was very helpful in selecting the tea packets. I truly enjoyed visiting the Labookellie tea factory—it was an amazing experience learning about tea production and also allowed us to get tea as presents to our people in Canada.
Akram was fantastic! Really helpful and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the area and Sri Lanka as a whole. He gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our time in Nuwara Eliya too. I am so glad we chose this tour company to take us to the Labookellie Tea Factory. Akram was extremely accommodating, I had accidentally booked the trip for the wrong day, and he kindly honored our tickets. Akram is fluent in English, and was great with restaurant and sightseeing suggestions for the remainder of our trip. His car is spacious and comfortable. He went above and beyond to stop for photo opportunities, showed us a wonderful jeweler, and dropped us off where we requested. The tea tour was very interesting, and I highly recommend taking the quick tour to learn the process of making tea.
Contact with Akram was very relaxed. Since I was on the bus, we finally met right in front of the tea factory. He speaks fluent English and knows very well. The tour of the tea factory was short and concise, but informative. Since it was full moon, however, the machines were not running, so please note this when booking!
Wonderful place to enjoy the cold weather and thanks to Akram for making it memorable
