We bring you to the places of interest away from the thousands of tourists that populate the catamaran beaches of Saona Island every day. The excursion is ajusted to your exact port times for the cruise ships Mein Schif and AIDA. If you are booked on a different ship please reach out. The excursion is all about nature; with the feeling of a real adventure tour. We'll visit the three most remote beaches of Saona. Warm turquois waters, waving green palm trees and endless white beaches! With our experienced tour guides you not only see the beautiful island but also earn about the culture and wildlife such as Starfish and sea turtles.

Itinerary
After leaving Bayahibe we proceed along the coastline of the Cotubanama National Park until we get to the rocks of El Penon, once home to the aboriginal Tainos. Our experience tour guides will explain about their culture and the history of the place, giving you some interesting insight on the Dominican history and culture.
We drive along the coastline of the Parque Nacional del Este (National Park of the East) until we get to the rocks of Penon, once home to the aboriginal Tainos. The guide will tell you about the history of the Parque Nacional del Este.
Our next stop is the charming fishing village Mano Juan, with no cars and only 300 inhabitants. Explore the village and learn about local life. You will visit the sea turtle project and learn about these beautiful creatures. The project is aiming to increase hatchling survival to stabilize the population.
Canto de la Playa: the most remote corner of Saona Island with crystal clear waters and untouched nature. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax under the palm trees, enjoy a drink or go snorkeling in the shallow waters. The bay is protected by the reef barrier and the water is no more than 5 feet / 1.5 meter deep, making it ideal for beginning snorkelers. Canto de la Playa is also known for being the filming location of some well known movies.
Our third beach stop is at Catuano Beach which is SeavisTours' concession beach. A beautiful beach lined with palm trees and gifted with crystal clear water and pure white sand. Here you will enjoy a traditional Dominican BBQ lunch buffet. Afterwards, you can relax on one of the beach chairs or hammocks spread around the beach.
Now we will pass the Mangroves on our way to the channel that separates Saona Island and the mainland. The mangrove forests are the nursery of the ocean through the protection and food they provide. The government has recognized the importance of this area and since September 2013 it is closed for all boat traffic. We will go along side the mangroves.
Our last stop and one of the Highlights of the excursion is at the "Piscina Natural", the famous natural swimming pool. This large sand bank is well-known for the indigenous starfish which really do live there! We locate our boat in an excluded spot, so you feel alone in the middle of the ocean and can see the starfish in their natural habitat among the grasses. Learn about these fascinating animals and get some insight on why they are so special. The water is shallow -even far from the shore it will never be more than waist deep- and the colors of the water are incredible turquoise and blue.
Enjoy our office space after arriving back from the excursion, have a refreshing drink until you are ready to leave.

I cannot even begin to tell you how AMAZING this entire experience was!! VIP Private is the best and only way to do this tour. Ingrid our tour guide was EXCELLENT (like no joke she was the absolute best) she made sure we were always happy, doing what we wanted, and kept the drinks coming!!! She is a very sweet and kind hearted woman who cares for the island dogs, which to me is the most selfless thing!! She let me name a puppy that I absolutely fell in love with CHASE and she sent a video of him having his lunch THE NEXT DAY!!! The beaches were unbelievably beautiful the starfish were awesome and the food was actually amazing (I’m gluten intolerant and there was plenty for me to enjoy) It’s the people who make the experience and Ingrid was top notch!! Thank you Ingrid for the best time ever for me and my family, we truly appreciated everything!

Our Saona Crusoe trip was the highlight of our holiday. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Excellent communication regarding booking, (which I did from the UK) and in the run up to the trip. On arrival the team were organised and welcoming. The speedboat ride in itself was thrilling and also meant that we got to the island before the crowds. Lunch was nice and the setting could not be beaten. Our guide Ingrid was exceptional; professional and very knowledgeable, whilst being fun and engaging. I loved that it was a small group, and definitely not a 'party boat', and it was fascinating to learn about the work of the turtle conservation, and the mangrove habitats. Chris the photographer took some wonderful pictures. I don't usually buy the photos on tours, but it's seldom that we have a photo as a family, and they were brilliant, the price was reasonable with no hard sell. I'd do the trip again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it.

What a great day we had! Nice little group. Came with the speedboat to places where the big boats can come with. Ingrid and her team are really great! What can she tell nice and cozy. Really enjoyed as a Familia with our other guests

But they promised snorkeling and took us to a beach that was full of debris and leaves, very crowded. It was almost impossible to get into the sea… we did not like that beach and had to ask to leave early. The tour was excellent.
The beaches of Saona are beautiful, and the staff were friendly and kind throughout the tour. However, I was disappointed with the turtle conservation program that was included in the itinerary. In my opinion, it felt like a waste of time and more like something used to attract tourists. You don’t actually see any turtles; it is just a short talk in a very basic room. I would have preferred to spend those 30–40 minutes at the beach instead. My recommendation is to ask in advance how much time you will have at each beach and what each stop really includes. The beaches are definitely worth visiting, but I would skip the turtle program if possible.
We had an excellent day with Seavis touring Saona Island. Our guide Ingrid made the day with her wonderful personality and amazing knowledge. I highly recommend booking a trip with her. Also the walk from our hotel at Secrets was super easy.

Excellent trip with Ingrid and her well educated knowledge of the flora and fauna of Saona . Taken to see all the interesting parts of island including turtles, mangroves ,starfish and the fishing village with first class food and drink. Highly recommended tour

Absolute wonderful day. Well looked after from being picked up from our hotel to being dropped back. The tour guide was excellent very knowledgeable any questions also were answered. Around 25 mins to the national park then around another 20 mins to Mano Juan we had free time on the beach a guided tour of the village where we visited the turtle sanctuary. We had lunch at a local restaurant on the beach and then more free time. We then went off to a lovely beach on Saona with more time to enjoy the beach and water. We then stopped to do some snorkelling some lovely fish. Then we stopped to see the star fish I must admit I was surprised how big they actually were. We then stopped at the mangroves and spotted turtles and stingrays. Finally back to Bayahibe what a day glad we did speedboat both ways you get to enjoy so much more.

Had to come back again, and still an amazing day second time round. Ingrid and the whole team make you feel part of the family and the warmth adds to a simply great day.
