Go with Masa.

Masa guided us on the bamboo tour, where the bamboo forest itself was actually just a small part of the experience. He took us through the most beautiful spots in the Arashiyama neighborhood, including temples, scenic streets, and unique viewpoints overlooking the canyon and the river. As a local, Masa’s passion and deep love for the area truly shine through, and it's clear he genuinely enjoys guiding. We had a wonderful, interesting, and pleasant two hours with him. We highly recommend him!

Arashiyama with Leo

I had a great experience with Leo, he was very knowledgeable and his English was easy to understand. Not only did Leo informed me about the history of Arashiyama but he also recommended some great spots to eat. The atmosphere was very peaceful and quiet. The length and pace of the tour were great, wish there had been more time but will book again in the future.
