Was an interesting day, well planned, confortable car safe driver. My expectation were met. Good price.
Both the Karen Blixen House and the Denys Finch Hatton grave site were interesting. My driver George, was very friendly, and answered all my questions about Nairobi and Kenya as we drove about. Because we had a little time left, he gave me a driving tour of the city centre as well. Overall highly recommended.
I double booked this trip and did not go. I went with another group because this group wouldn’t pick me up at my hotel
Hello Mary, we apologize for any inconveniences caused but our team was there to pick you but later realized that you had been picked by another operator. We made an effort to contact you and we actually informed you that you might have done a double booking and asked you t confirm the confirm the company who came to pick you. Our team also requested to talk to the driver but you said you will get back to us. Once again we apologize for the inconvenience, thank you.
I’m very much a Karen Blixen fan and wanted to revisit the museum after seeing it 34 years ago; I was delighted to see so much detail surrounding her legacy still alive and thriving. Then we were driven to the grave of Denys Fitch-Hatton to complete the loop of one of the great love stories of that era; he had told Karen this is where he wanted to be buried - their secret hiding place nestled in the Ngong Hills with the view of the plains below. We had the pleasure of speaking with Kamante’s great grand daughter Damaris who is now the caretaker of the gravesite. She has landscaped the plot into an English-type garden while leaving some of it wild, a fitting tribute to a great hunter, friend and lover who lived on his own terms. Though some may see the plot as being “overgrown,” the jungle and farms now obscuring the views, I see it as an enduring legacy of a man who could never be tamed.
Above expectation. Thank you for the safe, informative and very friendly excursion. It was worth the money. This excursion will remain a very warm and positive experience. Memories forever!
