Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle Day Tour from Inverness

Description
We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally). After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

This was a wonderful experience, coach driver Ian was very helpful and a nice person. He has very unique way of narration which kept us curious all the way to know the stories about places. Definitely recommend for a carefree sight-seeing experience.
it was a perfect day, the route and stops were very well planned. Iain was our guide and did an excellent job all day long, he gave us very useful information, interesting Scotland’s history, anecdotes, tales, songs, etc. I will definitely recommend to friends
Craig was great. Had a fun time!
Great tour with our guide Tim!! We saw so much in one day. Wish we had a little more time in Portree, but overall the timing was good for each place. We arrived back in Inverness around 7:30 just in time for dinner!
Karen was sensational as a tour guide!!! She explained the special features of the trip very kindly and with passion. At the individual travel stops, Karen also always explained where one can go and where one can take good pictures. With her friendly manner, she ensured that it was a great travel group. Anyone who gets to take the tour with Karen has simply been lucky. I look back on the beautiful experience with joy. Thank you Karen and best regards from Ingo
It was a pleasant experience to have a first day of what the Highlands are like. I think we went too fast and the time at each stop was limited. For example, I paid the entrance for Eilean Donan Castle but could not explore it all due to lack of time. However, our guide Karen was excellent, very fun, and shared very interesting details with us.
Thanks to Karen, a fantastic professional who created a magical atmosphere.
Thank you, Karen, you made me experience a unique adventure!
Karen was a great tour guide, on a very busy tour! Knowledgeable and funny and made sure we kept on schedule and we were able to see so much in a single day; it was a great value for money. If renting a car isn’t on your agenda and you want to see the sights this is an excellent way to do so.
We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring the Isle of Skye, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Louise. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole journey enjoyable from start to finish. Her stories about the Highlands, local history, and Scottish culture were fascinating and brought each stop to life. Louise kept the tour well organised, gave us plenty of useful tips at each location, and made sure everyone felt welcome and looked after throughout the day. Her enthusiasm and passion for Scotland really shone through. The itinerary was stunning, and thanks to Louise, it was an unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. Thank you, Louise, for such a wonderful day!
