We got there early and they informed us the boat had left. Terrible communication. Working on our refunds now.
Worst travel experience ever. Booked online days in advance with 4 other couples. We tried to reach out via message and email to confirm departure location with no response. We show up 45 minutes early to find the dock abandoned. After 20 minutes wondering we found a shack with an attendant, she called the owner and he said the boat left an hour ago and we were late. I pulled up the RSVP showed the attendant we were still 20 minutes early to departure. The owner then said he rented the boat on a private charter. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY
La Lupita & Javier and his crew were fantastic! If you're looking for a catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres w/ snorkeling @ MUSA, this is the one! Our crew was amazing & I believe we definitely had the most fun on our boat compared to all the others we saw along the way. They played fun music and gave information the entire time. And, it statred with fun photos! I researched for several months before booking & this was the only tour I could confirm stopped at MUSA & not a reef. Although a reef would also have been amazing, this was my husband's birthday gift & he thought MUSA would be cool to see. It definitely was! It made me wish I knew how to scuba dive. They also had a crew member taking photos in the water. We then proceeded to Isla Mujeres where we were given an opportunity to hold a shark ( a small one ) in an enclosed area. My husband & I were the only ones that took the opportunity. And boy was it great! One of the gentlemen running this offered to take pictures. It wasn't until the next day that I realized they got a video with the shark spitting in my husband's face as he was trying to make a face at it, and us laughing hysterically! A moment that still makes us laugh. We then proceeded to our buffet lunch. The only thing on our excursion that was a little underwhelming. We then had some time to check out the ice bar, some vendors and the water swings before we headed off to the other end of the island. There we chose to take a taxi, to maximize our experience, to the south end for some photo opps and views of the scenery. We bought a couple souvenirs at the shops at the port before heading back to Cancún. The ride back was a bit more leisurely. And, if you're a drinker ( we are not ) the tequila flowed! Beverages, both alcoholic and non were provided the entire excursion. They offered several photos for purchase before we disembarked. I had seen several reviews on other boats warning against this & their ridiculous prices. These were great photos & great prices! We received 6 photos, including underwater photos of us, for $30. If you're looking for the most fun & bang for your buck, this is your best choice!
Roberto, Javier, Charlie, Manolo and el Capitan were incredibly welcoming and a ton of fun. Although the weather didn't allow for the greatest snorkeling experience, they worked to find a calm spot for us and we're on hand to assist with gear, moving around in the water, and anything else we needed. Charlie took great photos of the groups throughout, including under water shots. We purchased every single one. I'm looking forward to returning to Cancun and touring with them again. One of the highlights of our trip!
Great boat ride, the staff were very attentive. The snorkeling was guided, which I appreciated because it made it easier to find the statues at the museum. We spent about an hour at the beach club having lunch and then about two hours in the shopping area of the island. The island was very busy, but that is to be expected.
Snorkeling was so fun. We had the whole area to ourselves. The buffet was delicious with lots of options. Drinks were great on and off the boat. Shopping on Isla Mujeres was great for souvenirs!!
This was a great tour! The snorkeling was good, but it is deep water and was pretty rough the day we went. The crew was fun and entertaining!
Miguel, the water guide was really good about keeping the group together and showing us all the statues underwater. They were good about getting drinks to us and beers and waters
My kids had a great time. It was a very beautiful experience for them. We got to take a pic with a shark as well
First off the staff was excellent- very friendly and accommodating. The food on the island was delicious and there was plenty. The snorkeling was very underwhelming. The underwater art museum was a tiny section of what looked like metal. Not impressive. The sea was wavy and everyone was clustered together making it hard to explore. Isla Mujeres was disappointing- very crowded and touristy. The north beach was small and absolutely packed with people. The boat itself provided no shady areas so bring sunscreen. Again the tour company itself was great and these comments aren’t their fault.
