We really enjoyed the trip. Both locations were very enjoyable. It would have been nice to spend a bit more time with the horses and other animals nearby,
This is a hard excursion to rate. Once we were underway, the trip was very good. The guide, Sophie, did a very good job providing informative commentary about the region and Iceland in general. The Falls were tremendous to visit and the small horse farm was also a very nice compliment. That was all a 4-5 star experience. The problem was the start. This was an early start excursion. So, we left the ship with all the passengers on ship excursions and other private excursions. There were two parking lots for buses and excursion vans. No one could locate our bus operated by NorDur. There were 40 or so passengers from two cruise ships wandering around wondering where our bus tour was. Eventually, two small vans from the same operator showed up for separate small group tours. They couldn't explain where our bus was either--adding to the confusion. Virtually all of the other tour buses had left when our bus finally arrived. There were apologies, but no explanation for why our bus wasn't in the lot or a representative of the tour company to help 40 or more customers. My wife and I were told later in the trip by another couple that the bus driver arrived on time, but his designated slot was filled by another operator and instead of parking elsewhere in the lot, he left to get help from the port authorities. But no other company representative was left in the parking lot to help passengers. Several errors were made. The tour company should not have left the parking lot without some representative staying behind to communicate with all of the passengers who were wandering around looking for our tour. Second, it would have reduced the tension if someone had explained why the problem occurred in the first place. Good tour, shaky start.
Our tour narrator was superb. On the trip to the falls he lectured the whole time with facts and history. The time allowed at the falls was barely enough for people to climb up to the top and back, although I did it. The farm stop was pleasant, especially because they had a tasty coffee cake type treat and coffee. Our 17 year old granddaughter appreciated the hot chocolate.
Thank you for your lovely review! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour and that your guide's stories and knowledge made the journey to the waterfalls so interesting. It's also great to know your family enjoyed the farm stop, especially the coffee, treats, and hot chocolate.
Great excursion. Well organized. I only wish we had more time allowed at the waterfall.

It started off horribly. Couldn’t find where we should meet, no one was around. Call Viator numerous times, finally after walking 2 miles, was transferred to the driver. He finally located us. Then the excursion turned real nice. Beautiful waterfall, you could walk up the hill beside it, Micah was very informative then went to a very small farm had delicious cake and tea. Saw and could feed a couple horses saw a couple bummer sheep. Then back to the ship. Regret missing the first hour. There was 7 in our group.
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry about the confusion with the meeting point and understand how frustrating that must have been. We're glad you were able to enjoy the rest of the tour with Michal, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. We hope to welcome you back again.
Michael was a great tour guide. We learned a lot about the area while we drove to the waterfall and farm. There was some confusion about the meeting location- the address on the booking was in correct, so be careful about that.
