Local tour company is very disorganised . I was not allowed on the boat of my original booking. Sent to a different boat? Then thrown off that one (the orange boat beginning with”P”) by a very nasty man. I am 75 and use a cain.
This was a fantastic experience! We loved being on a smaller boat (only 11 people were on it). We got to get up close to the cliffs and see lots of birds and also seals. The cliffs were incredible and the skipper told us interesting information about Ireland's Eye and the wildlife. Exactly as described!
The captain was great! We learned do much. Great experience.. we would come back anytime. I recommend this trip to anyone
Really lovely tour of the island and the exciting ocean birds & seals. Great afternoon getaway from the city.
I really enjoyed this boat trip. The guided trip was very informative. A variety of music was played during the trip that tied in with the history told. This created a great atmosphere. Ireland's eye looked amazing. We saw a huge number of pelicans and gannets. We also got to see a number of seals too. A very enjoyable memorable trip. The sun was shining which was a bonus. Highly recommend.
It was a nice boat ride in Howth, but if you are traveling to other places in Ireland, a hike in Howth would be equally as lovely. There were only a few people on the boat, which was nice, but it can get quite windy and a little hard to hear at times. We only saw one puffin from a distance. I would recommend it if you're only going to Dublin for a short trip and want some nature.
Loved this tour! We took dart rail from Pearse station to Howthe. The tour company gave great directions to go from rail station to end of Pier 1. The hour tour and guide was excellent. We saw puffins, Irish penguins and several other species of birds, along with seals. Fantastic tour! Would definitely do again!
Our guide Maria was very informative, I won't ruin it by telling you here, only that you should go I was blessed with lovely weather too.
Interesting. You can see several birds such as sea parrot, patrol goats and airos. The sea is agitated attention to splashes
Thank you Lauren - The puffins, gannets and guillemots are magical sightings - definitely worth a few splashes to see!
Short trip that is only fun in good weather. There is fiddling with the occupation of the two boats with groups sometimes being split. Guide cannot be understood by noise and accent
Hi Jan, We are sorry to hear that our tour did not meet your expectations. We always keep groups together, unless their total exceeds the capacity of the boat (groups over 12 people), which need to be split between the two. This is for safety and licensing reasons. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at info@irelandseyeferries.com and allow us to make it up to you.
