Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana

We wouldn’t know that the experience went well or not because the shuttle never showed up to pick us up. Operator texted us the day before and stated that we would be changing the time to 3pm instead of 10am and we agreed on that. Stated that we needed to be at the main gate 10 mins earlier. We waited at our security gate for an hour and no answer to our text messages with the operator. We asked for a refund and they stated that we cannot get a refund because we were not at the gate at the stated time which we were 20 minutes early then the stated time. I would not recommended this to anyone.

It couldn't have been more fascinating. It was an incredible experience riding a horse in Punta Cana, and although it was a little rainy that day, that didn't stop us from doing the activity. It's worth adding that the guide was sensational.

I went to Punta Cana with my family and we chose this activity: horseback riding. At first, we weren't sure if it was a good idea because we have a 7-year-old girl. We were worried, but once we arrived at the ranch, the guides gave us instructions and everything went perfectly.

I visited Punta Cana in July and booked a horseback riding tour — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip! The guides were friendly and professional, and they made sure everyone felt comfortable, even first-time riders like me. The horses were well cared for, and I was paired with a calm one named Canela. The route took us through beautiful countryside and palm-filled trails, with a brief ride along the beach — absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The staff even offered fresh coconut water and helped take great photos. My kids loved it too, and it was a unique way to experience the Dominican Republic beyond the resort. If you’re in Punta Cana and looking for something authentic and fun for all levels, I definitely recommend this tour.

Without a doubt, it was one of the most beautiful moments of my trip. I felt a special connection with the surroundings and with the horse that accompanied me. If you’re looking for an authentic, relaxing activity full of natural beauty, I highly recommend this horseback ride. Horseback riding in Punta Cana was one of the most beautiful experiences of our trip. From the very first moment, the staff greeted us with a smile and great kindness. It's clear they love what they do and take great care of the horses, which are well-fed, calm, and very well-trained. I was lucky to ride a sweet and obedient horse that made me feel safe at all times. We rode through beautiful landscapes: paths surrounded by nature, palm trees, and most special of all… we walked for a while along the seashore collecting seashells. It was a simple yet magical moment that connected us with nature in a very special way.

If you ever dreamed of riding on the beach like in a romantic movie or adventure novel... this is THE place. Riding horses in Punta Cana was one of the most unforgettable (and fun) experiences of my entire trip. First of all, the horses were super well kept, calm and looked like equestrian magazine models. Mine was called “Chocolate” and I would swear that I understood Spanish better than some of my friends. The ride was a perfect combo: a bit of jungle, a touch of mountain, and finally... the beach! Riding with the sound of the waves and the Caribbean sun in the background was just magical. At one point I felt like a perfume commercial: wind, sand and me, riding like I was the star of the show.

First of all, they changed my time from 11 to 9:30 because they said that it would be too hot for the horses however we didn’t get on the horse until about 11 anyway. Then the driver took us to some grassy dirt area, where the horses were not in a stable, not in the business establishment just a bunch of men standing around with the horse. You weren’t provided a bottle of water as it said in the advertisement. We rode to the beach practically stayed at the beach for a while, which we never knew we were going to the beach… then we rode right back. They had a photographer there by the name of Chris who is taking pictures and we paid for them, but he never sent our pictures. He never even came back when we did with the horses…This was probably the worst horseback riding I’ve ever done. I kicked my horse like hundreds of times and never went faster. Then we’re supposed to go for chocolate and coffee tasting. The cab driver took us to gift shop where they had free samples of mamajuana and coffee. The best thing about it was the cab driver didn’t make us wait for the rest of the people who were shopping to take us back to our hotel. And I did let the operator know that I didn’t get my pictures and they were trying to rectify it, but they claimed that the photographer was not their photographer, however, he’s there with their horses…but I will be disputing the charge for my photos that I never received.

We had a good experience, Juan & Leo were very attentive and eased my worries at we are not experienced riders.

These are the most docile horses that I have been able to ride in all the similar activities that made by different countries, the best thing is that they are well cared for and the grass you read give to feed it is of very good quality which helps them to be very healthy.
